I've made the comment many times, by the time you've paid for a service like this, Netflix, Amazon Prime and an internet connection fast enough to handle multiple HD stream simultaneously, it would have been cheaper to just have a internet and TV bundle.

This is even more true when the cable companies start jacking up the pricing on internet only connections to offset the loss of revenue on the TV business...

This is true, all the individual plans can add up quickly, but I think a large percentage of cord cutters don't pay for every service, even though they have access to all of them.....

Many will only pay for 1 of these services while utilizing / sharing accounts with family members, friends, etc. for all the others.

Their cost (vs cable / bundle) can be significantly lower, while still getting all this content.

Um if you don't want to watch commercials the prices would go up drastically. You'd be paying $10 a month for every channel a la HBO

If I pay any money to watch TV, I expect to not see any commercials. We're going to have to wait until these fossilized broadcast executives die off before the market comes to terms with modern reality of the internet.

Looks like the big 4 networks aren't really live besides a few cities. Can't see the point then.. It would only be on demand for most people.

You can thank the affiliate networks for that. They own the rights to transmit in most areas unlike in the big cities where the big three own the towers.

Funny - isn't there really no technical reason why an iPhone can't have radio and TV antennas installed/activated? Yeah, it wouldn't really compare to full products like these, but much of the time you could get a good bit of both for free.

That's the story we are being fed from the overpaid entertainment executives. Every other industry constantly strives to reduce costs, it's about time Hollywood join the 21st century.

Does anyone know how to sign up for the service if you subscribe to Hulu through iTunes from an iOS device?

I'm paying $40/month for PS Vue and get more channels. Albeit the mobile restriction for some channels really sucks.

I'm starting to wonder if I should stick with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now and use my parents cable login for cable shows we watch.

I might give it a try. It's cheaper than my cable bill is now which is 140 a month. 45 for wifi and 16 for the extra boxes I have. The rest in Cale channels (that I don't even watch) . U guys r correct that extra stuff I do not need. So I'll give the $39 package deal a try.

No, you clearly don't understand just how much it costs to create content to run 24/7. It costs millions for one single episode. Do the math.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they're not getting renewed; not even a "short season."

edit: they got a 0.7 this week which is unchanged from last but only slightly up from their series low a few weeks ago at 0.6. Syndication isn't saving them this time, it's over.

Just announced that SHIELD was renewed.

Before there's an announcement, everyone is just speculating. Maybe next time don't try to pass off your guess as "news".
