you're right...he made some mistakes that he corrected...welcome to business and the real world!

Name a company that doesn't have this happen? Name a company that doesn't make mistakes in staffing during mergers or acquisitions.

Correct. It should not come as a surprise to anyone that Twitter‘s transition has been chaotic. Musk warned he’d RIF 50%. Speaking of chaos…there are three flavors of SAP transitions. Bad, worse, and catastrophic.

What a waste of money. He could have used that money to save humanity or eliminate world hunger. I feel really bad for the people working at Twitter and they have to deal with Elon. The fact it’s around Thanksgiving and holidays time makes it worst. I believe in Karma and Elon should too. 🧿🪬
Doubt that 44 billion would solve the word hunger problem. Being there are 8.3 million people that go hungry out of a world population of 7.4 billion. Doing simple math, the 64 billion paid out to buy the company, evenly distributed would amount to 7,700 to each person going hungry as a one time payment.

Odds are, when someone throws around the term "dead weight",

(esp. in the middle of such drastic and demonstrable actions at Twitter)

That person almost assuredly is a couple of quarts too low in the Empathy dept.
Or there is a lot of "dead weight". I don't feel sorry for corporate workers just doing a smidge above the work level for firing.
I thought Twitter was being shut down a week ago, was that another lie spread by the millions of chicken littles out there on the Internet?
Where was this on the internet? I must have missed it.
Lots of sour grapes.

But the neighbourhood on Twitter is a reflection of you and your actions. Change yourself and your experience will change. Follow idiots and you'll get idiot posts ;)

Again, and again.

Everything you write originates from pure opinion.

Not political, but two years ago Twitter “fact checked” and denied a story about s particular laptop. Anyone pushing to have the story posted would be perceived as an, “idiot”.

Two years later, MSM outlets are verifying the story and even on the side of pushing it towards an official government investigation. Mere source checking and a phone interview would have verified the validity of the story. Alternately, the story was buried to protect a high profile government figure.

In this case, Twitter itself is the “idiot” that promoted and achieved a “neighborhood” of fallacy while denying an actual truth. Twitter(Jack Dorsey) later admitted the story should have been allowed.

So, you tell me. What is this neighborhood a reflection of since Twitter ignored the truth?

Great response on all points.

Yes, Steve co-founded Apple, and where did he get it the first time around? He was a computer programmer/developer that didn’t know how to run a company. He hired the people that made Apple a success. Then, Lisa and Macintosh were under his tenure and utter failures. After being fired, Apple delved further downward, as did Steve.

When I refer to people praising either man, I do it more in reference to people that frequent this site than the general public as I am sure you can tell by this article alone, most people here vilify Elon.

Steve Jobs was not a programmer/developer… 😅😅😅

All the technical knowledge Apple started with came from Steve Wosniak, not Steve Jobs.

This ain’t going well, or maybe it is his plan.

It’s similar to how Wagner Group released criminals to use them as fodder. Or how in Dark Knight Rises, Bane released criminals to help him take over Gotham.

I can figure what his plan is

If he thinks it will stay as something widely interesting after letting back on the worst characters, he’s very mistaken.

I LOL'd:

Totally missed the point...Its pointless....

If Musk intended on the platform being advertiser friendly, it does not make sense that he has fired almost all of the safety and moderation teams.

If he then does end up hiring them back, he has just spent a colossal and unnecessary amount of money rehiring and retraining people for roles in which competent people were already employed. It makes no sense.

Of course it must be advertiser friendly as it‘s virtually the only source of revenue.

All the gnashing of teeth and hysterics are expected when changing the course of a floundering company especially a social media company.

There’s a long way to go but there’s already positive signs emerging at Twitter.

Sorry, totally disagree
Elon is acting like a child and cozying up to the worst characters imaginable.

Literally nothing positive is going on there

Signups and user minutes are at an all time high; hate speech impressions lower than in October 2021; restarting development for end-to-end encryption for dm’s. Those are positive signs.

Totally missed the point...Its pointless....

Well, your “point” of the users define the user experience(neighborhood), is pointless since Twitter was defining what made it and what didn’t. Living in a censored society isn’t living in a neighborhood. It’s living in a cage.

Make of that what you will, but I welcome people that disagree with me or even berate me on Twitter. I don’t use it, but you have BLOCK and MUTE options which you must have never discovered.
