I don’t know. I’ve been a terrible typer on iPhones since the iPhone 4. So if there are keyboard issues I would notice little.

Not really. Some of it is related to animation speed, which makes the keyboard work worse on older phones that are more susceptible to lag. Try turning off character preview and see if your accuracy improves.

I hate this POS iOS 26 - buggy, unresponsive, the worst keyboard, totally half baked and rushed.
To be fair the keyboard has been trash since 2007
I agree. I hate iOS 26 too. iOS 18 is last best iOS

I felt towards iOS 7 the way the OP and others feel about 26.
Surprisingly I’m fine with 26 after the right Accessibility fixes.
So I feel for all your pain. 🙂
Still experiencing bugs to this day on Watch and Phone. I can't believe how on IOS18 I had all day battery life on my phone and now it's barely half a day. First time I have really hated an update.

Late model phones should get all day battery life. My iPhone 15PM last the day, same as with iOS 18.

I really can’t get over how awful the keyboard is on iOS 26.
I would pay hundreds of dollars to put iOS 18 on my iPhone Air. I miss good design. iOS 26 is pretty is some areas, and so unbelievably ugly in others.

If I don't buy a new phone, I'll never consider upgrading to iOS 26 or later. I'm really annoyed that the people at Apple ruined everything and left the company.

I’m ready to jump on the I hate iOS26 bandwagon. I have always enjoyed my experience with Apple’s iOS but this one is garbage. Won’t let me airdrop from phone to MacBook even though I put in the code. Since that didn’t work figured would just email the picture to myself, but that wouldn’t go through and just sit in apples email app outbox. Sigh*

I don't hate IOS 26 itself but I do dislike the liquid glass feature and I think it looks horrible.

Yup, Apple’s big marketing point for v26 was and still is LG. If ya don’t like LG (like me), ya won’t like v26. Lots of threads and hundreds of posts describing how to minimize and (almost) eliminate LG effects, but it’s bit of a struggle and incomplete.
Reducing its effect won't work because the OS is designed that way. It looks very crude and ugly.
