So I was REALLY wrong. :(

Yeah you were. But it's not really your fault! My wife thought it was 'clucking' for a long time until I told her to look at the web address. And I thought it was something else entirely the first time I heard it (but you can't say it in a commercial).

But what I'm talking about is not that commercial. It's the one where all the men revolt against eating 'girly' food. I know one scene involves a strongman pulling a huge truck while being lured forward by a big burger.

<edit>
YouTube comes through!

Yes, because flowers are the defining factor of femaleness.

I don't know about all flowers, but this flower looks suspiciously feminine...

;)

Does everyone know what gender I am?

Clearly the 'nj' in your username cannot refer to New Jersey, but is instead a veiled reference to you being a ninja. You don't usually see lady ninjas, so that means you're probably a guy. The angry avatar and use of red further serve to indicate your ninja-ness. The anger is because we all know that ninjas are often known to flip out and chop people's heads off; the red symbolizes the blood from those whose heads have been chopped off.

That was quite simple. :p ;)

Only because it hasn't been pointed out yet...

English doesn't have neuter pronouns. If you're going to use one, "he/him/his" technically covers both men and women. Rather than being just a mistaken assumption, it's actually the right thing to do (grammatically) to use the masculine form in mixed company.

Of course some of it is just plain failure to be observant :).

Also, look at the location..

but guys can like bon jovi, too..

*head explode*

Giggling... like the girlie I am :p

And while being a demi-goddess helps, it was only a few months ago that I was being called 'he' by some veteran members.

Wait. You're a girl? Oh man, I'm so confused. First, there was edesignuk who I secretly hoped that he was Kiera Knightly, know I find out Applespider's a woman.

Oh well. Everyone knows I'm a dog right?

On every single forum I'm a member of everyone thinks I'm a guy. At first I attributed it to celebrian so I dropped that moniker and no matter what I try I must be giving off male vibes. So I am here to say I am female. 100% female. I must act masculine online or something, because it never fails. I am not a guy!

people get mixed up with people's genders all the time

for instance

jefhatfield, an oldtime "male" member, was thought to be a guy, but my work's IP sniffer found "him" to actually be on the other coast than "he" claimed in the usa, and with all remarks and some clues, i think with pretty good assurance that he's a she named juliana hatfield and not jef or jeff hatfield, but nobody believes me, but i am a router and network professional and know security and hacking pretty well

Anyone though of just filling in the gender field in their profile? ...

You don't usually use "it" to refer to people. I mean you can, but you might get in trouble.

That's why I use "they".

You know... that's a pretty disturbing thought and if I was you, I'd be pretty careful about what you say or do around here, especially with long-term members who've suddenly disappeared from these boards.

Respecting people's privacy is not a small thing to ask... posting what you've said will raise a few eyebrows around here, I'm sure.
