Denmark must be crime free for cops to have time to track someone down over a stolen phone with sim card and home Wi-Fi information lol

I know I'm a little more nervous than I should be, but I just cant afford to have crime on my name. And btw, I didn't buy it from a company, but a person. But I will return it to the police today and explain them the situation.

damn man im sorry but u sound like a little girl so it made me confused :confused::confused:

whats wrong with you? just send it back to the sender and cancel your credit card payment for that activity, if it was cash then tell him you want your $ back or well your screwed. omg dont go to the police, they might give you jail time and then it will go on your criminal record and omg you wont ever find a job!!!! im full of embarrassment that your so scared :eek: just throw it away, its useless but if you get it jailbroken, you can use it, noo? ;)

@OP: Sorry to hear of your dilemma, but taking the phone to the police is the only right thing to do, and you can't provide information about the seller unless you do that. Also, you now know the phone is stolen, so you can't act like you do not know that and simply return the phone. Do the right thing and you'll sleep soundly. Good luck!

^ why cant he just return it? if he knows its stolen then doesnt the person who sold it to him have the right to know? or selling stolen **** gives you an excuse to steal someones money. Return phone, pull your credit card payment. if it was cash, call the dude and meet him with 2 of your friends and youll get your cash back. then take phone and break it on floor infront of him and tell him hes lucky for not kicking his ass and then go home and look for someone else selling the phone. be a god damn man!

What does a little girl sound like? Probably better than someone who can't spell, use proper punctuation, or write a full sentence. I'm pretty full of embarrassment that you think that's coherent or helpful.

Coming here two days in a row to post this isn't doing you any good. Why didn't you return it to the police already if you're such a nervous wreak?

The time zone is different in Denmark and USA. I wrote this post yerterday after everything pretty much closed, and I replied from early morning in school.

I think the Op is just an attention seeker. Why would you be looking for answers to a possible legal issue on a forum, whose members do not even live in your country.

Wtf?

OP you should really stick to buying new products only.

Reading your post on here is pretty ridiculous, it's not that serious and you are

a bit too melodramatic. :)

Calm down you will be just fine. Ha Ha

ohhh so you essentially bought it from like a danish craigslist? That sucks man I would just use the phone as an ipod touch as was mentioned earlier. Your not going to be charged with a crime relax

Well I wish this never happened, but since it did, and this is basically the only forum I know about this stuff I decided to ask here, and it did help me... There are no danish forums like this..

Someone need to ban this troll. He has been trolling on many threads laughing at other people's plight:

How did you pay for the stolen phone? Paypal? Any chance you could go thru whatever hoops it would take to get your payment back?

In the end, if you can't get your money back and returning the phone will get you into trouble, just throw the phone away.

Chalk it up to learning a lesson the hard way.

Hi guys. I'm not proud of this, but I bought a stolen iPhone in dba.dk (a danish page for selling used stuff). I then tried to put my sim in the iPhone, but it didn't work so I went to my carrier store, and they told me it was a stolen iPhone. I told them that I didn't know that, and I wanted to hand it over to the police, but they told me that that I would still get charged since I am the one who has the iPhone now.

Now the thing is, I still want to hand it over to the police (via mail, so they don't suspect me), but I alrdy set up my iTunes account and used my home internet with the phone. I'm going to restore the iPhone on iTunes, and then send it to the police. Will they still know that I'm the one who had it last, or am I safe to do this.

I know it was my bad to buy divice without warrenty, and I've learned a life lesson. Please help someone.

your mom is going to whoop your ass good once she catches wind of this

The best thing you can do is return the iphone and get your money back. Or just call the police and report this issue.

Stolen

I had a new ipad stolen from my house it was 2 days old, the person who stole it took it to the Apple store here in the UK and asked for it to be wiped as he had forgotten the passcode.. Apple looked at it and saw it was stolen as the local police had been in the day before to warn them as Ipads were then totally new to the market (I have this direct from the police), knowing that the ipad was stolen Apple gave the ipad back to the thief and said there was nothing they could help with. Apple policy is even if they suspect its a stolen device they wont get involved. They cant be bothered to call the police even with the person still stood in the store as its against their ethics.

Basically no once really cares if your phone is stolen, specially Apple!

The local police wrote to Apple in disgust asking why they let this happen, they never replied.
