Well, you were expecting a headphone jack, weren't you?

Do you think you'll be less likely to doubt "leaks" in the future when they persist over time as the "leaked" design of the 7 did?

Yes, but I couldn't care less, I have an A2DP adapter in my car, I have a pair o beater chinese bluetooth headphones for the gym. I listen to music mainly on my MBP or iPad.

Now all I want is that hear what those who said that the world was going to end because the 7 won't have the headphone jack, and that Samsung will reign because they have edge displays.

The only thing I'm sad is that they still don't have their microLED screens.

I'll always be sceptic unless it comes from a source I can trust.

Yeah, I don't treat anything as fact until it comes from an official source either, but there's a point where there's so much support for a rumour that flat out denial is somewhat baffling. It's like I've said, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, and has been a duck every other time, It's probably a duck. I'm wondering if next time you might be more open to the idea that it's a duck.

It's about getting the full story from the horses mouth. Now that I know I've made a decision.

I agree. I would never make a decision before official confirmation during the keynote. My question was addressed at the OP regarding whether he'd be so quick to dismiss "leaked" info in the future. No one should make decisions based on incomplete or unconfirmed information, and healthy skepticism is a good thing. But at some point it just becomes denial.

The leaks didn't tell the entire story, which is what I'm saying. Some cool stuff other than the antenna bands came out of it; screen, camera, processor, live photos stuff and some other items. Not everybody cares about the processor, but people can relate to the screen and camera upgrades and some of the added functionality that comes with ios 10. Whether or not this interests you as an individual consumer will be different from person to person. But the leaks were far from describing as complete the total package.

Screen, camera, processor, live photos stuff and some other items. You're not going to say you knew about the cores or the way the camera works, or the OIS in both models or the live photo editing or the 7mp facetime camera or the 4 led tru-tone flash or the... Are you?

We knew about the dual cameras and 4 led True Tone flash
We knew about the screen
We knew about OIS on both cameras
We don't need to know how the camera works.

Live Photo editing was the only thing we didn't know which is a software feature

We knew the A10 was faster.Big revelation there

This is a very petty post. Having fun?

I didn't mean it that way at all! I honestly wanted to know if this experience would change the why he views these leaks and rumours in the future.

I don't know why, but people here always seem to think I mean something else or have an ulterior motive when I try to engage in conversations. Never happens to me on other forums or in real life. :(

I know. I don't think I said otherwise.

Actually didn't know about the screen specs other than it was "better". Didn't know how apple was going to use the camera. (and yes, knowing how the camera works is part of the total package), didn't know about 60 fps at 4k. Didn't know about 7mp facetime camera. This link below is what was known, compare it to what was discussed at the keynote. There's stuff missing, plus the ios 10 features.
