Thats nice but done lie about the S3 battery life. It lasts longer than my late great 4s

Not trying to be a smart ass but honestly.. if you don't like it.. SELL IT!

Make a profit, buy the phone you want and be happy. ;)

Seriously, there is a major shortage of iPhone 5's and people will pay top dollar.

GL!

A "major" shortage of iPhone 5's ?? I was in an Apple store tonight that had aplenty of 5's.

I absolutely love my new iphone! So light and thin and a good bit faster than my old 4s. The new screen is nice too, I guess. I was pretty happy with the 3.5 display.

I think if they just updated the GUI of iOS or something..sheesh. Everything about the S3 is just more appealing except the battery, so I can't deal. Oh well..I guess I'm happy.

A few people made mention of it in the grocery store today when I was talking on it. Cool factor

Battery life is decent on my S3 but I always carry an extra fully charged battery with me. Why don't you consider doing that? Get an external battery charger and an extra battery or two. They're really small so you can fit it in a jacket pocket

My iPhone 5 is 'Preparing for shipment' so I went to the Apple store to check it out. It blew me away actually. Ya the front looks completely the same, stretched out if you hold it side by side w/ an older gen iPhone I guess. But the feel is completely different.

So small and lightweight, I really did not expect such a dramatic change. For all the, 'it's the same boring design' comments, iPhone 5 feels very much redesigned physically.

Lol I do the same

freaking =JayLenochiniMac;15812339]Sure, but you're liable to get fed up how lame it is and miss the iOS like many others who've gone down the road.[/QUOTE]

I am a huge Apple fan, I have really enjoyed my iPhone's over the years, and nothing can tear me away from my retina Mac Book Pro, but the Samsung Galaxy s 3 is the most freaking awesome phone I've ever come in contact with and I highly recommend it. If you can get over the ecosystem change, it never hurts to go in and test it out in a store I suppose

So sorry for hijacking and a bit off topic .. But let me ask this straight ..

Since the iPhone 5 is claimed to be a unibody, it means the backslate and the side antenna band is now made of one piece of Aluminum
While iPhone 4 and 4S antenna band is made of stainless steel.

Am I right so far?

If so .. Well I don't know, wouldn't it be considered as downgrade? Yea iPhone 5 is lighter, but I prefer a stainless steel band over lighter body anyday. It's harder and more scratchproof than Aluminum.

Has been using my 4S for 10 months almost naked and straight. No single scratch on the steelband. Not sure would have the same if it's aluminum

Opposite for me. I would be a WHINY baby if you made me go back to my 4s and mine was jailbroken too. Supposedly they've successfully jailbroken the 5 already so it shouldn't be long.

But the 5 is thin, more elegant and sleek, LTE is a huge jump from the speeds I was getting on my 4s, and the screen is vibrant and the extra space I've already got comfortable with.

I have the same feeling. I don't personally have the phone, but I played with it today. Yes, it's noticeably faster, thinner, lighter, bigger screen, etc. but something about it doesn't make me feel like it's THAT much of an improvement over my 4S. I will be buying it though because I want 4G LTE. I know people hate when they do it, but I wish it had a special software feature (similar to how the 4S had Siri) that was exclusive.

I'd never considering going back to Android though. Those days are long gone.

Umm...you don't make sense. You say that u wish the new iPhone had a special feature exclusive to the 5. Then u say that ur getting the 5 because of its special feature over the 4S..LTE??

You are absolutely correct.
The wear and tear on the iPhone 5 is going to be a HUGE issue, much bigger problem than the original antenna gate was. The iPhone 4/4S is FAR more resistant to wear and tear. Sure if dropped just right the 4/4S back will shatter, but it's replaceable, the iPhone 5 will dent and scratch and it is NOT replaceable. Not good.

Well for myself it is an entire new phone! For one I cracked my iPhone 4 screen and it was becoming slow always dropping my wifi at home. Now with the iPhone 5, it's like night and day! I was only getting about 6-11mb/s on my wifi in my garage from my house, not good when I have a 40mB/sec connection. But today I did speed test with 2 bars with the iPhone 5 and I was getting 26 mb/s, so much more improved! Also the LTE is also so much quicker when browsing website. I am a very happy camper!

I'm an every two years person, whether it be my PC or my mobile. I went from Core2 Quad to Sandy Bridge and it had a big wow factor. Nvidia 2xx series to 5xx series (I know, they skipped 3xx) and it was great. Likewise the 3G to the 4 to the 5 - amazed each time. I'm not denigrating people who upgrade every year, but how much better could it really be on a yearly incremental cycle?

Here is my take...I came from a 4 jailbroken...I was very hesitant, but know I could live without the jailbreak for couple of months. ALso, I just finished trying the S3 for about 1 mo prior to going back to IPhone 4. The S3 was a nice phone, but I just did not care for the interface. Apple does simplistic well and at the end of the day got tired of messing with all the functions the driod would actually do. The camera sucked big time on the S3!! Most features shown on Tv took multiple clicks just to arrive at transfereing a photo. The mail and texting apps never stood up. In order to save your battery life with any driod you have to turn off push notifications in order to have a battery life.
Most droid users also have to download battery managment software to help maintain there battery usage. The manager would have to keep constant watch of everything you opened or had pushing. It got old. The battery would drain just sitting on my night stand.
Iphone email can push all day long without having these issues
Stick with IPhone 5 and give it time. My LTE is lighting fast.

I mean coming from a 4s, I feel like I have the same old phone. In fact, I feel like I have less of a phone because I gave up my 5.1.1 jailbreak. Thinking maybe I should have done the S3 just to get a new device feeling.

I know what you mean, it's nice and all, but doesn't give that "new toy" feel. It just works like always.
My jailbroken 4S (with the Fakeclockup tweak installed) actually feels snappier than the 5.
Some apps do launch faster, though.
I have the 4S set up with activator actions, so I almost never use the physical buttons. It's hard getting used to the home button again. No wonder people wear their buttons out!
I'm disappointed in the screen size and aspect ratio. It's like an optical illusion, being so tall and skinny It almost feels MORE cramped. The quality of the display is a bit better, though.
Sounds like the 5 will be jailbroken soon enough. Maybe there will be some cool tweaks to take better advantage of the extra pixels.

I don't understand why a lot of people think this phone sucks. When I first held the phone in my hands, I instantly fell in love with it. I'm very happy that my black 5 is flawless but also think that the upgrade from the iPhone 4 was well worth it. The screen for some reason, at least to me, feels quite a bit larger. LTE exceeds my expectations. What is there not to love about it? I was debating taking it back to get white but black definitely looks better.

Coming from an iPhone 4, this iPhone 5 feels absolutely blazing fast. Very happy with my purchase and I am really glad I bought it.

I feel the same. I'm not surprised because I knew what to expect, but I have to say my disappointment is rooted more in the feeling that this is the phone we should've gotten last year.
