To people who think they are paying huge price for features they don’t need, think of this way: every single other user would have the same feeling cause they may not use features you use the most. For example, those who never connect their phone to a computer would not appreciate other like me who connects my phone to a computer all the time through the port. Same here for Face ID and Touch ID. Both are not mutually exclusive.

Exactly! I'm sick of people drawing a line in the sand between FaceID & TouchID.

It is completely logical to prefer one over the other, but utterly absurd to want that one of them be removed and irrevocably replaced.

The real thing we should be demanding as consumers is both, with the option to use either depending on what we prefer (or even both at the same time for extra security).
I don’t want Touch ID on MY PHONE. Keep that spyware off of there (am I doing this right?)

Stop trying to insert logical, rational discourse into an MR forum, we only accept hysterical hyperbole and personal anecdotes here. /s 😏

Also, where touch id is located would make a big difference - for instance I have a latest version of Ipad Air. The touch id is on power button and when you use the iPad in landscape mode the button is awkward to get to.

I miss Touch ID so much. Face ID gave me a lot of problems on my XS Max. It's such a shame Touch ID most likely won't make it to iPhone 13 Pro Max as I'm getting that, but it's SO annoying I have to hold my face in a certain way for it to unlock.

I am still wearing masks and unlocking the phone is 5x harder. "But...but Apple Watch!" No. That only works for unlocking the screen.

Wow, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I don't have to hold my face in any sort of way. I can be wearing sunglasses or hats or whatever and it almost always unlocks for me. Maybe try re-setting up Face ID.
