Fantastic.

I would like to hear an opinion about this too. I know instapaper does some things but I think you have to manually get the feeds. Something like the daily works best for me when on the subway or bus on my commute to work.

The economist (requires paid subscription however) pffers this, I download the entire magazine. I too, however, am looking for an "offline Flipboard" where ny choice of news can be stored for offline view. Flipboard does this in a very limited way. If anyone knows a solution to this or a good app, that would just be perfect.

For that you might as well just go with the Daily.

My free trial is almost up and I'm going to continue to subscribe weekly. If the Daily succeeds I'll go with the yearly.

Decided to go with wsj subscription. kinda news i read and perfect for offline use.

I really enjoy The Daily...especially the fact that I can load it up and read it offline on the train. That was a huge plus for me and the main reason I subscribed for the year. Between this and the Onion I can read all my real news and fake news on the train going to work.

Content wise I'm really happy with it. It's got a ton of coverage of March Madness (which I could do without since I'm not a college bball fan).

I was paying abou 220 a year for a hard copy subscription of Star Ledger in NJ. I love the paper but I'd gladly trade it for the convenience & price of the Daily and just get my Star Ledger news through RSS.

Actually The Daily has really great content. I subscribed and have read probably 50% of it every single day since the day it came out.

As for the slant, well, every news outlet will have a slant. Want real news? Go to a mix of BBC and Al Jazeera. Amazing what you'll see that the US news agencies won't even report on.

I stopped using the daily before the trial was up. Weak writing and opinions. Not worth it to me even if it was free.

Send Me The Money!!!!

Here is my suggestion, and I suggest you do it. First, just read USA Today, which is free. Instead of giving The Daily your money, go ahead and write me a check for the equal amount. I'll send you my address via e-mail. Thank you!

:D :D :D :D
