But if you have any iPhone before the X you basically have 2 notches limiting screen visibility.... Just a thought.

iPhone X I get it you don't like the notch..

The issue as I understand it, is unlike older phones that had a bezel,the X has no bezel and so the notch stands out like a sore thumb.
In all honesty, you get used to it, and I don't understand a lot of the complaints. Yeah, I was one who was down on the notch, but that was prior to using it. Now that I have it, its much ado about nothing

The notch is NOT the reason I didn't get the X or don't like it.
Fugly. Camera. Abcess (it's gone far beyond just being an unsightly bump or boil on the back of the phone)!

Strange reasoning. I personally don’t care for the notch, but a bezel is NOT a notch.

You will find that most users of the X have no problem with the notch

Those that hate the notch didn't get the X, either because of the notch or some other reason (cost, Touch ID, home button, etc.)

The appearance of the notch was never an issue with me. I really like the X in every way. However, the notch does prevent battery percentage from being displayed and that is an issue for me. I know it's just a swipe down from the top right to find the percentage, but I got used to, and liked just glancing at the phone to see if it needed to be charged.
Better question, why is this subject being regurgitated?

The notch is cool because in iOS 11.4 they are adding infrared manipulation so that it modifies the particles going into your nose while playing games or watching movies to smell like what you are looking at. You can even scan a smell around you and then spray (Share) it to someone so they can smell it too. Its pretty genius from apple
I don’t really care much about the notch. Ideally, I’d like the 10 to have kept a narrow bezel at the top... that would be more aesthetically pleasing to me. But I think OP is missing what the word “notch” means.
You know what else there's more of to the X?
The camera bump.
A lot more of it than the 8, 7, 6s and 6. So much more camera bump!
Simple fix. Just make the form factor thicker. Oh, wait a minute. Most people like the depth the way it is...
