I got an iphone 4 yesterday, am I an idiot?

If you are thin skinned enough to let the forums bother you that is good advice.

I bought my ATV@ when it first came out but my iPad (dec 2010) and my iPhone (May 2011) were both bought when a lot of folks on here saying to wait for the next one.

I have thoroughly enjoyed both devices, bought them when i was able and when i was in need so it worked out great for me.
 
Naa, your not an idiot. I recently received a white Verizon iPhone 4 about a month ago and I love it. If the iPhone is to come out next week at WWDC, I would be a tad bit dissapointed, but to be honest I surely think it's going to come out in September.

I equate this with the World of Warcraft forums. If you frequent them, you'd think the game is the worst piece of crap ever released.

Take it all with a grain of salt.
 
you're not an idiot. I purchased one 3 months ago coming back to the iFold after being on Android for a bit (I liked it but the battery life sucked something awful). I knew a new one was likely coming out very soon (back then the rumors still pointed to June/July timeframe), but I didn't care. The screen is still unmatched (in clarity) as is the smoothness of nearly everything it does. Yeah the notifications suck but that's what jailbreaking is for (or maybe iOS 5).

i don't regret my purchase, you shouldn't either. When it comes down to it, there will be another upgrade next year and the year after, something always better is coming down the pipe.
 
lol we are one day away from knowing wtf is going on with the next iphone, and there is always a chance the new one will get released in the usual time frame(couple weeks from now)...
 
an old comedy troup names "Firesign Theater" used to do a skit called ' We're all bozo's on this bus' and I think it could apply here.

Get what you can and decide to be happy with it and you will be happier. The iphone is the best selling cell phone/ smart phone in the history of those things and now you have one. Congratulations.

One thing is always a sure bet; that their will always be another new one coming out just over the horizon. You can wait forever and never have one, or get one and accept that progress marches on.

Enjoy your new phone and don't worry!

The fact that you are asking after purchasing it, I'd say yes to your question. iPhone 5 will come in about a years time from this summer - if it comes early then I'm wrong. Bottom line: who cares? When it comes just sell your 4 and buy the 5 or wait till 6 when contract ends. It's a phone and they all do what they need to do.

Actually, that's pure speculation. The common assumption right now is that only software will be talked about at the WWDC. We've barely had any leaks about the iPhone 4S/5 so it's likely that it's not even in production yet, so next week? Doubtful.

iPhone 5 will be out in the next few months, iPhone 6 will be out next year.
 
I added a line in mid-May to upgrade my 3Gs to a white 4. I know the 4s/5 is just around the corner, which is why I added a line rather than use my upgrade. I figure my husband I will both upgrade in November when his upgrade is available.

Enjoy your phone! You'll love it!
 
You can still make a lot of money off of your iphone 4 even if you resell it in Sept just because people will want to jail break it.
