not much bass as i can discern for now. played audio from a few streaming sites, did some metal, jazz, etc. speakers are loud and clear. i like it! but bass, not much as of now from what i can hear.
heat? none so far. I'm use to having a usb fan in the back blowing at my laptop so its pretty cool. plus, i prop my laptop up with two rubber thing that is designed for laptops. which lets the heat dissipate easier.
im not having scrolling problems as of now. heard some people were earlier from other posts. just to mention.
i plugged in my logitech g9 laser mouse and it thinks its a keyboard... thats the only problem i have so far.

there supposedly a max fully upgraded model that you can get in store that has 16gb, etc. the specs are display on the iPad next to the display retina mbp.
i did ask yesterday before i bought my computer today at the store and one person told me its a possibility. I'm thinking why would they display the specs (2.3, 2.6, 2.7) next to the display computer if its not going to be offer?
one other guy in another thread i read earlier also said something about confirming theres a fully spec one thats in store too. its like around 330,000 yen (what the display read) which is over 4000 usd. a lot of money...
How is the Retina display? How is it watching movies. How clear is the screen? Is it fast when opening up different applications?

my computer starts literally less then 10 seconds. like maybe 8. things is fast and the screen is very bright, very clear, os environment very sharp, not pixelated like the old mbp screen when u look close up. just... wow type of feeling.
i don't have an external drive so i can't connect anything or run movies. but i played diablo earlier and the quality was very nice on this screen. if there are certain sites that is a good way to test, let me know and ill try.

How does it look at 1440x900? Any "blurriness"?
not blurriness as of now. ill update later. I'm getting 65 fps at these settings. very beautiful....
update: some areas getting 70 ish. will check out more and report in a bit.

i use to play wow. i don't plan to install wow on here though. but for diablo, the fan does come on from time to time especially when large amounts of mobs come in. the game is perfectly smooth lots of mobs or not at the resolution i typed before.

Yes, mine is a SM256e model, still need confirmation from another retina book owner on a toshiba model.

Can you take a picture of the screen with the resolution at maximum and text on the screen so we can see how small 12pt text becomes? Is it still readable?

Why no antiglare option or at least used the glass that was presented few months back that has almost 0 glare. Come on Apple, you can do that
at full res, its readable. pretty damn high resolution, a lot of area to work with. but can get a bit too much. i wouldn't scale it to this much. is it worth the cost? well, the retina display really is a beautiful. all my friends saw it and they thought so. the glare definitely is mostly gone compared to the mbp. i have a regular ext monitor. just an hdtv i plan to try the hdmi port with. not today... gonna sleep soon and try tomorrow. by then, probably plenty of people will get their hands on the system.

also when i was playing games, all the heat was at the area above the F1-12 keys. it was burning hot. when I'm not, its perfectly normal.
