i didn't get a discount. paid full price. it was pricey but... my old computer was 6 years old so i kind of justified paying a bit more for the mid model instead of the base.

CMD + Shift + 3

thanks!

a bit early to ask this but how is the portability? if you have any previous apple laptop model to compare to, i would like to know the comparsion aswell.

cheers!

60+ fps on Diablo 3 with max settings?? I already ordered mine yesterday, but that washed away any buyer's remorse I may have had. Can't wait to get this thing!

I was running at 1920 (not with my computer so don't know what the res is) on an HDTV and with mostly max settings (shadow medium), going between 55 to almost 80 with little-medium action going on. the game is smooth for the most part. once In a long time a short lag. there was only one time when I was playing where it really lagged for like 2 seconds. some area where the whole screen suddenly filled with explosion and and monsters. i can't say for sure for other games but, diablo is very playable on this new RMBP.

also, I wanted to ask, right between the body/keyboard, above the F keys and the retina display, if u look at the area where there's a gap, u can see a lot of vents there. which is also the area where it's super hot when playing diablo. did they had this on the regular MBP?

I mean, it's thin and it looks nice. but although it's lighter than the regular MBP, it's not as easy to carry around like the MBA. I can def get use to carrying it around, but by no times super portable. it is still 15 inch so the body is still fairly wide.

The normal macbook pros do have vents but they are very small and can only be seen with your head right up against the display. The normal macbook pro (At least my 2009 model) gets most of its heat concentrated above the esc key in the metal between the hinge and the key.

The vents on my macbook pro 15:

have you tried loading photo-heavy sites (ie. itunes store or google images)? does it lag then?

I was also wondering if with the new higher resolution screen websites loaded quicker or slower compared to the older say 13" MBP's:confused: Also wondering how much louder those new speakers are compared to the older ones on the MBP's?

How is the front camera quality for video calls?

Booting up in under 10 seconds is amazing.

How does it handle gfx switching? Is the HD4000 enough to just run basic apps? Or does it tend to switch to the Nvidia chip more often?

From what I understand they haven't released the retina optimized version of Diablo 3 yet which should run smoother with the higher screen resolution.
