Things that are wrong with lion

1) Login screen is ugly
opinion
2) Linin everywhere is ugly
opinion
3) new finder look is horrifing
opinion
4) Mission control is useless (bring back the old expose)
Incorrect. It serves the same functionality, and in decent way, adapt or revert, no one is stopping you from using 10.6
5) Launchpad - i wish i could delete it
don't use it, or revert to 10.6
6) fullscreen apps - they disable my second monitor (apple chose to do that, this is not a bug)
Apple didn't choose to torch your second display, they just didn't do a great job of thinking ahead on that one, and I imagine you'll be able to run two full screen apps at a time, one on each display. Again, you didn't have the option before and nothing is forcing you to use it. Be quiet or revert.
7) Screwing up gestures was a big mistake
annoyed me a little bit, too, but... guess what... you can change them.
8) Versions - should be a choice not decided for you and bring back save as
any app that you really need to "Save as" with you still can. Ex. photoshop, logic, office
9) makes my macbook hot enough to fry an egg when im just using finder
hyperbole is fun, isn't it? 61C isn't really that hot. the reindexing was a pain, but i fixed that with a rebuild of the index file. now my temps are nice and cool again.
10) why have they not killed dashboard (seriously who uses it)
my fiancee and i every day for radar widgets, and I'd bet a lot of other people, too.
11) they deleted front row
excuse me, did you just complain about DASHBOARD being useless, and then cry about not having your precious front row?
12) Resume it defaults to on all the time ( when i reboot i do not want to wait for all the apps to start again)
yes, this annoys me a little.

in conclusion. im glad apple gave me my money back for lion. its more like kitten
yet you're still wasting time complaining about it. Shall I call the wambulance?

I have talked to apple senior engineers
It was their decision to disable any attached monitors when using full screen apps

Perhaps this is a little off topic but oh well:

Just got a new 11'' Air today- love the machine and am digging Lion so far. However, the one thing that is frustrating me is that whenever I quit Safari and then reopen it later, all of the windows and websites I had open on the previous session are restored.

Is there any way to change this- I just want a "fresh" Safari every time it is opened?

Did they talk about the rationale behind that decision?

as for finder, mostly because of the changes to the sidebar layout. Moving devices to the bottom and yes the greyed out icons are disgusting. Apple has been phasing out color in iTunes then iPhoto now osx perhaps they are phasing out color monitors as well

I like the fact that it serves to further reduce distractions in the UI,
although I admit that the sidebar content might just as well be categorized as content instead of UI.

At least it doesn't look like this:

If Apple didn't choose to implement support for a 2nd display, then they chose to not implement support for it. Do you honestly believe that with all the work that goes into making an OS, they simply forgot to implement 2 display support? No way, that makes no sense. If they didn't do anything either way with 2 display support, then likely one of two things would happen: either it would crash the app in question (or possibly part/all of the system) when entering Full Screen or the other display would be available or at least visible. The fact that when entering full screen the app moves to your primary monitor and blanks your secondary monitor is active coding on Apple's part; it's intentional.

You must not actually use Lion. If you did, you would know that it's not possible to run 2 full screen apps at once.

That was an hour long phone call with apple about the multiple monitors. I hd to go up three levels of support. When I finally got an answer they said. Blocking out the second screen with full screen was a design choice. That's all they would tell me. I'm guessing they thought that a second monitor was a distraction. So who made them god

On a sub note. I also have a MacBook pro that I tried lion on and full screen was a nice thing especially on safari was a nice thing but all the UI changes just don't make sense on a desktop system
