I agree to a point. Try to watch a Youtube video on Verizon and it will lag and buffer like crazy while AT&T won't with the speed difference.

You are 100% right, I forgot to mention this point! YouTube is definitely slow on Verizon than AT&T :p

I constantly have issues w/ YouTube videos no matter what platform I watch them on. Seems some videos are just overloaded or served up on overloaded servers.

No they will give you $99. New contract price is $199/$299.

They go by the price of the actual sales receipt of the phone not the actual retail value without contract.

Nope, that's not true. Here is the official BestBuy Buy Back Program promotion video:

They go by the retail price of the phone not the contract discounted price.

Living in the Northeast, a lot people I know have Verizon and love their service. Long time ATT user here, and I have yet to have a problem. My only complaint is service in buildings, not a big deal. The fact that my 3G speeds are the same as my WiFi at times is awesome, and I love tethering my phone to my MBP and having fast speeds. I go to school in VT and service up there is excellent while a lot of Verizon people have 1-2 bars or no service once you get into the mountains.

Guess so if you want to buy into worst buys scam. Just trying to make you smart with your money and doing that program is not smart.

I am choosing whichever route that will make sure I would be able to sell my Verizon iPhone 4 for the maximized money since it is hard to find someone to buy a CDMA-only iPhone 4 when the iPhone 5 come out. Best Buy Buy Back Program will assure $350 EVEN iphone 5 come out.

it depends on where you live i suppose. I just dont like how At&t always blame on my phone when there is a bad reception.

nuff said, you can clearly see the better carrier.

I fail to see the relevance of the picture. This thread is about voice coverage, not 3G coverage.

I don't think you know how to interpret pictures.

There is a caption below that clearly states that verizon has 5x more 3G coverage.

Your statement is invalid.

I think it's a good idea. Especially since nobody knows what the used market will be when the 5 comes out.

If you can sell it for more on Ebay or CL, you can always do that. You're basically paying $70 now to lock in a MINIMUM price you will get for your phone. No rule that says you HAVE to sell it back to Best Buy.

Finally, someone who understand my thinking. I wish there was a LIKE button on here. :D

Verizon = SLOW DATA speeds
Verizon = Less coverage overall
Verizon no DATA/Voice at the same time

So you are downgrading.

1.) Verizon's data speeds are slower, but the difference is NEGLIGIBLE! If you load a web page on a Verizon 3G phone and an AT&T 3G phone, the difference will be that the Verizon 3G phone will load the web page 1-3 seconds slower than it would on the AT&T phone, and this is a very slight difference that most people won't even notice, and this only happens if you've got full 3G AT&T signal because AT&T has VERY inconsistent data speeds, while Verizon's are always consistent. Also, here's a big factor: PING!!! AT&T has very high ping, while Verizon's ping is lower and their data speeds are more consistent.

2.) AT&T's coverage blows in major cities and just overall sucks. I know this because half of my family is on Verizon while the other half is on AT&T, and out of my cousins that live in New York and Florida, all of them are always complaining that they always drop calls and lose service while my cousins who are on Verizon have no complaints

3.) Honestly, how often do you talk and load a web page when you're on the phone? When I'm on the phone I do just that: talk on the damn phone. Nothing more, nothing less. Why do you need to use data while you're on the phone when the whole point of being on the phone is to talk to the other person on the phone, and not to be surfing the web.

OP, if anything, you're upgrading if you switch to Verizon... especially from your current position. I'd be pissed if I had 10+ dropped calls a day.

So you are only getting $270 back since you are paying $70 to get that deal.

No, I pay $40 for the Buy Back Program; Besides, I always have the option to sell it on ebay if I can. I don't HAVE to sell it back to Best Buy but it is just a safety net to make sure I can get money for it when i get the iPhone 5.

I think $40 safety net is pretty cheap since no one knows how much value will the iPhone 4 reduce when the 5 come out. :D

At least in the US there is a choice. In Japan you are limited to Softbank which terrible in coverage and customer service just like Att.
