Last week there was a thread about a guy who jailbroke his iPhone, saw Cydia, then didn't know what to do so he restored his phone.
Some people are just uneducated, it seems like it takes one big screw up for people to learn what to do.

It's a shame that for many the learning process still includes one big screwup before they focus on the research. With all the information available to us via the web, this trend should be reversing, but for some strange reason it's not. Boggles the mind!!:confused:

DFU is the only way to fix it.

Hitting any of the reset buttons on a jailbroken iDevice is not a good thing to do. It will always lock it and cause you to restore via DFU mode.

I did the same, I reset settings and it was stuck at the apple logo. I got into DFU mode and restored via iTunes but now it is stuck on the emergency call only mode with the picture of the USB pointing to the iTunes logo. It won't let me do anything else, I've tried DFU and restore several times already and it's still the same with the emergency mode.

I have an iPhone 2g and is using on a mac.

Help please?

Okay, I must have entered DFU mode and restored my phone 10 times by now with no luck. It would restore and go right back into emergency mode with the usb connecting to itunes.

Any advice on what I'm doing wrong?
