"I just bought it!" 2011 MacBook Air Thread

Finally! both 13" i7s have been shipped from China, delivery estimate of 7/27. Ordered them on 20th at 9:05am.
 
Man, I just received my 13" base model. I upgraded from an 11". This thing is so sweet. The most beautiful piece of tech I've ever owned! Blazing fast and surfing with Lion is incredible. The screen is truly breathtaking.
 
Just got my 13" 256GB i5 air. I am a little upset about it too. Fedex guy left it at my front door when I had back door checked. On top of that, while I was opening it I noticed that the power cord wasn't tightly wound up. Usually Apple has the best packaging job ever. It was loose and looked as if someone had used it then just wound it up in a sloppy circle and put the plastic back on it. The laptop itself has a fair bit of dust on the screen as if it was used before packaged up. Also has a bit of where on the feet as if it has been slid on a table or something, but wiped off. Really don't want to have to drive over an hour to go exchange this laptop...
 
Received my base 13" this afternoon after ordering it 36 hours ago. It's doing all the PC migration stuff at the moment.

It's no heavier than my MSi Wind netbook!

Looking forward to messing about with it.

And doing some work, naturally. *coughs*
 
Mine did arrive today despite being dispatched less than 24 hours ago. Arrived 4 hours ago too. Well done Apple and well done UPS! Everything seems perfect and damn is it quick!
 
Anyone else get one that had a loosely wound power cord and looked like it had possibly been tested or something before being wrapped?
 
Got mine yesterday, at 2:00pm, at the 14 St. Apple Store, in NYC. MBA's & ipad2's flying out the door, every few minutes. Something to see....Geeezzzz....had an investor tell me once, when Apple was at $130--"ahhhh... it'll never go higher!!"

/Drooling on my 13" airs kb.

You guys are going to love this thing. Seems so snappy with that ssd. Reminds me of my desktop with a SATA3 drive almost, but at just under 3lbs and super thing.
 
So my Air has been sitting in Anchorage since Saturday morning. Still hasn't moved. Anybody else seeing this? It's driving me crazy :)

I ordered my Macbook Air 11" an hour ago and I was told I may get it tomorrow if not then Thursday!

Really?? I ordered it yesterday and wont see it until friday at the earliest, unless that ends up changing.

Are you on the west coast or something?
 
where can i see from which location my mba gets shipped?

On the shipment status on the apple site, there is just the information "delivery shipped".
 
I HAVE ORDERED ANOTHER! :p

Decided I wanted the ultimate 13", so ordered one of them, because of the free printer its being delivered August 16th.... FML.
 
Mine arrived today, about a week after BTO. 13"/256/i7. Was snappy till I managed to corrupt the filesystem journals (mucking around in single-user). I'll be seeing how well the reinstall process goes ;)
