MINE HAS SHIPPED!

Doubtful it will be here tomorrow though :/ No estimated date now either.

yay picked mine up today !

getting the 'ole lion adjusted to my preferences is somewhat frustrating, but it's just teething pains

accidentally locked myself out. changed my account "full name", screen locked, and would not take the password. Quick (real quick!) reboot fixed it.

the new iPad upside-down scrolling is easy to get used to (and does make sense once you "get it"), but lion-SL-lion switching is tricksy

Similar story here. Just under 24 hours. App card by 10:30, Mac Air by 3PM. It says it's only shipping from Middletown, PA (outside of Harrisburg) which is less than two hours from me so I hopefully may get AM delivery of the whole package.

Mine said PA as well, now just says "Picked up". Oh well, not a big deal to me anymore as it aint coming until tomorrow which is when I'm not home all day. Hopefully fedex leaves their usual note allowing me to pick it up between like 6-9PM at the hub. Don't want it on my front door all day :p.

I'd be interested in knowing when some of us get their ultimate shipped. My delivery estimate is between Tuesday and Thursday, so I'm thinking it may get shipped out by tomorrow and deliver on Tuesday. At least I'm hoping for that to happen.

My app card shipped this AM, but MBA is still showing prepared for shipment. I hope the rep I spoke to was wrong when she said it'd be shipping from china. What model did you order? I ordered the base 13"...

Well to contradict my previous statement my shipping email says "We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 22/07/2011."

We shall see :D

Man I'm nervous now, I better start praying that I get a SM ssd!

edit: SM = Samsung model. There has been reports of people getting Toshiba as well which is slower then the SM model.

Okay, I'll bite...what's a SM?

Just getting my 13" ultimate home today...Mac Business Unit was kind enough to grab one out of the back and hold it for me, and even give me a business discount.

Great guys.
Samsung sorry, I'm just horriable with spelling some words :p

Exact same configuration. Just waiting for the status to change to "prepared..."

I went by the Apple store today (Tulsa, Ok. Woodland Hills) and they had the i7 in stock so I purchased from the store and cancelled my online order.

The 13" i7 with the 256GB SSD is going to be a standard item in Apple stores. So anyone who wants one their is no need to order online. They have them listed on the iPad signage along with the 128GB i5 and 256GB i5.

I asked today and was told they are selling mostly the i7 models.

Coming from a 2,1 Air this machine feels very fast and responsive even with a half dozen apps open.

Wish I'd known this yesterday morning. I can wait a couple more days, I guess.

Just as a heads up, I ordered an 11" i7 256gb online Wednesday after reading that only major stores will be stocking the ultimate. Called the store this morning and confirmed that the stores in San Diego will not stock the "Ultimate" so during my lunch break I swung by store to check them out and low and behold they carry them. So if you have called the store and they said they will not it is still worth a shot to swing by to try and pick one up in person. So Instead of ordering it and waiting till the 26th I just cancelled the order and picked one up today in the store and LOVE IT!

Mine came with a Toshiba, my co-worker's came with Samsung.

I have used both. I can tell no difference whatsoever. Software installs at the same speed, applications launch at the same speed, the machines boot in the same time frame.

Picked up a base model 13" MBA at the Delaware Apple store, tax free FTW + EDU discount, back to school GC, free printer after rebate, not a bad day!

My first new mac since late 2006 15" MBP (2.16 C2D, maxed 3GB), this is quite a leap :)

Got APPLE SSD SM128C for my SSD for those that are wondering.

Just a heads up, Scottsdale Quarter had the 13" ultimate... and they had plenty... for any in the Greater Phoenix AZ area.

Thank you for sharing this little tidbit of information. I was just sure that a custom configured MBA would have to be ordered through the online store but am happily wrong about that. I just cancelled my online order and will be heading to the Apple Store in the mall tomorrow. Whoo hoo! :D
