I've just ordered my 13 from the French apple store, I've ordered a british keyboard though so won't get it until August first :(

My first "real mac" after experimenting with hankintoshes ;)

Ahhh bought to pull a trigger on the 13" base 128gb. Dont need to pay 300 for extra storage or more for speed since I purchased a 3'4 27" i7 1tb + 256 ssd on sunday.

YOU HAve a swEET setup... GOOD for you.

Just passed my 5yr anniversary with my macbook (which I still love!).

Nevertheless, it's time to upgrade and move on! :D

Ordered the 13", 1.8GHz, 256GB.

SO excited! Expected delivery next week...

I've heard that they do random educational discount audits so I had it shipped to my sister (who's in school) at her address.

Initially ordered 11" with upgraded i7 processor, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB hard drive. Cancelled it and went with the base upgraded model (i5 / 4GB RAM / 128 GB SSD.) Saved $150 on processor plus $300 on SSD (by not upgrading to 256 GB as I originally planned to do) and will put the savings towards a refreshed Mini. Plus, as an added bonus, I will get it by this Friday as opposed to next Thursday.

:)

I have bought stuff from edu store few times and never had to show/submit proof.

Ordered 2 X 13" Ultimate today. Wont get it until next week, i7 pushes ship date to 1-3 days.

Awesome thanks, cus I am actually done school but was going to use my buddies student number if needed

Just ordered 11" ultimate on UK Apple Store.

Says ready for shipping in 3 days, but expected delivery date not 'till 3rd August.

Chuffed there is a 256GB option for the 11"!

I'm going tomorrow around lunchtime to pick mine up at the Apple Store! Very excited about getting an "upgraded" 13".. I don't think that I'll need the i5 so I don't mind picking it up at the store :D:D

I ordered mine in the educational store about an hour ago, but got no email confirmation. In my account, the order is there and I have the option to cancel it. I'm wondering why I didn't get an email yet, is there some kind of delay? Or maybe my credit card is holding it because it's a large purchase? And emails don't go out until the credit card is cleared? Not sure. Haven't heard anything.

Just ordered the 13" i5 with 256GB. Got the overnight shipping for 16 dollars.

Really excited to replace my aged mint 2008 15" MBP. Wish I could get that free iPod deal. Really dislike the 100 app store card. Going to have to sell it off at a loss probably.

I ordered mine 2-3 hours ago with edu discount using 2 different credit cards to get rid of a pre-paid one I had from a rebate and still have no confirmation email either. Order just says "not yet shipped" when checked through apple.

Okay. Well, at least we know it's not the credit card. I guess I'll just have to be patient to see how this shakes out!

I have kind of a wacky set-up:

11" MacBook Pro - 1.6GHz Core i5 + 4GB RAM + 64GB Flash Drive.

I figure with the iCloud, the smaller HD would suffice (plus I'm hoping to pick up the next iMac for the heavier work). I needed that 4GB RAM though. Cost me about $1,039 with the education discount. It's always nice to save a little bit of money :)

The same for me!

Just tried to pick one up from the store in Atlanta, GA and the manager said they're not selling any today even though they have them in stock. All I can say is WTF!?!?!

Yeah, #firstworldproblems, I know.

I read that some stores let them slip early this morning then stopped selling them. I live an hour away from an Apple store so I figured 16 bucks to over night it is about the cost of gas for a round trip to Apple. Save me the traffic hassle and have it show up nicely boxed at my front door tomorrow.

Just ordered the 13" + 256GB + 1.8GHz! Wanted the 256GB since I'll be using this machine to do a lot of work and will be dual booting Lion with Windows 7. I could probably get by on 128GB, but I don't like to "manage" my storage like that. With 256GB, I can pretty much forget about the SSD and just use the machine.

As for the 1.8GHz: Well, the performance difference will hardly be large, but it wasn't all that expensive in the grand scheme of things anyway. I intend to keep the machine for a long time, so might as well make the best of it.

I'm not worried about any power consumption disadvantages compared to the slower CPU model. The 100MHz difference in clock frequency is small enough that natural variations in the chips' power consumption can cancel it out. The extra cache might make a very small difference, but still not enough to be concerned about.

EDIT: BTW, the shipping date was estimated to July 29... Located outside Gothenburg, Sweden.

EDIT: Ohh, and please don't talk as if the i5 and i7 are two completely different CPUs. In this case, they're not. In fact, they're exactly the same physically. The i7 that will go into my Air might come from the same wafer as an i5 that goes into another Air. The only thing they've done on the i7 is clock it 100MHz higher and not disable any of the L3 cache. It's a little wacky that Intel would differentiate them by putting them in different product lines, when they're so extremely similar (they even support the exact same feature set). But hey, that's how this business works sometimes! :)

Just ordered a Base 13" MBA, I could of used the extra storage but I didn't want to pay £200 more. I keep most of my stuff backed up anyway, this is gonna be a dedicated machine for my Photography at Uni.

Finally people won't think I'm crazy for using a 13" MBA for photo editing! I'll have an external monitor as well of course. Res matches my MBP in the sig so I'm happy, and the machine is actually faster! Maybe not GPU wise but I barely game anymore anyway.

UK all seem to be a delivery of Friday too.

Just ordered 11" 128GB 1.8 i7! My black MacBook has served me well (and will probably continue to do so), but its time for a change. I also haven't received a confirmation email yet, though. Order page says it has yet to ship. I'm hoping it comes by Friday, but expecting the worst...!

Ordered mine at 7:52AM PDT and still waiting for a confirmation email.

I ordered mine at 5:50AM PDT with overnight delivery. It is still "Not yet shipped". The printer I ordered with it shipped a couple of hours ago.

My confirmation email took a bit of time as well. If it's in your orders page I wouldn't worry.
