Ordered a 2011 13 inch Macbook air:
1.8GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
256GB Flash Storage
Estimated arrival 27th-29th...sigh I hate waiting
Same here except mine's not due until August 2nd!
Ah well, I'm too busy to use the thing at the moment anyway.

Hi folks, first post here from a long-time lurker.
My last Mac was an SE/30 from, oh, maybe 1991? Lol. Been living in Windoze purgatory since then. I lusted after a Macbook Air ever since I first laid eyes on one in my local Apple Store here in Austin, TX. I pulled the trigger with the 2011 model refresh this morning - 13" base config MC965LL/A (1.7GHz Core i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD).
I selected next-business day delivery for just $16, but I haven't received the email confirming anything yet. My receipt shows the order went in at 7:00am PDT and that it "Delivers: Jul 21 - Jul 22". The local Apple Store doesn't have them on display & hadn't heard yet when they would be coming in.
Some replies here mentioned specifying the college in order to get the edu discount, but only had to click a box during the ordering process that said I qualified, which I do. It knocked $50 off the price and got me the additional $100 gift card.
[ EDIT: I doubt anybody's going to read back in this thread, but instead of bumping it with a new post I thought I'd update my status. The acknowledgement email came from Apple at 415pm CDT, and the shipping email came at 645pm CDT. My Apple is due via Fedex overnight tomorrow, Thursday, July 21. Psyched! ]

Ordered the 13" base model at 9:30am PT through the EDU store and am still waiting on the confirmation email. No activity on the CC either. States delivery of July 25-26 here in BC, Canada.

No email confirmation on mine - but I called in and all seems well with the order.
The rep could not tell me if it would ship today, though. He said he heard some will make it out today but a majority of them may not ship until tomorrow morning.

Ordered the base 13" this morning at about 10AM. Glad to see I'm not the only one who didn't get a confirmation email. Estimated delivery is tomorrow or Friday, which would be awesome

Who is "He" me? because I'm waitng for a nice loaded 11in refurb of the last gen if I dont get a left over MacBook.
And to quote Laptop Mag:

Ordered the 11.6 with 128 and 4 GB. I got a ship notice about a half hour ago.
About 5 minutes after the 11.6 was ordered, I ordered my fiance a 13.3 128 4 GB. For some reason, the 13.3 did not ship yet.
Maybe the 11.6's are shipping sooner than that 13.3's?

I went for base 13" to replace collectors alluminium uMB.

The apple store in University Village (Seattle) let me buy one early. I ended up getting the 11" one with 4GB of ram and 128GB SDD. It's a great little machine and it's super fast.
Got my email saying it will be delivered tomorrow. Its a nice change tbh as I think every other mac i've bought on release day has made its way to Scotland on a slow boat from China.
Edit: 13.3, i5, 256GB HDDD.

No confirmation email here either. I have been told though that the i7 upgrade causes the ship to be 1-3 days. Mine will definitely not be here by friday but good luck to you, hope it comes by friday!
I'm in pretty much the exact same situation (order a bit earlier though). I'm from Guelph, Ontario.
Just ordered mine 11" with 128G HD and 4G mem. No email confirmation though. I called in and they said the order is complete. The expected delivery date is July 25-26 though. They said it's shipped overseas... from China, I guess? I am in the US, Palo Alto, CA (I thought I am close to Cupertino but it turns out their warehouse isn't there...)
Those that are reporting ultimate 'gone to shipping', please let us know if you mean ultimate as in i5 or custom i7
