I just cancelled my Apple Watch Order

Not an impressive upgrade? I'm still on my AW3. I thought this time would be a great time to upgrade but I was looking for a redesign. Going to wait for the 8.

I mean going from a series 0-3 (and maybe the 4 or SE) is definitely worth it. I was upgrading my 6 gps to 7 LTE but just felt that I’d be better to return in and wait.

The battery on my 6 was better than the 7 when both had AOD turned on. Also some odd screen glare with the 7 and for some reason even fast charging was barely faster than the 6, sometimes the 6 was faster even from my MagSafe Duo which I know can’t fast charge but still.

I often scratch my head at folks, especially non aluminum, wanting to upgrade yearly. Cook must send them Christmas cards or something. I’ve had a series 0 and now 6. Probably upgrade when software updates stop.

Cook certainly doesn’t send me Christmas cards and I’m not sure why you scratch your head ? ….. each to their own like anything in life ….. do you also scratch your head at someone who changes their car every 2 years compared to someone who keeps theirs for 15 years …….. some people get pleasure from having the latest tech some get pleasure from squeezing every last cent out of their purchase until it dies. Horses for courses !

I actually had guessed that they had some kind of scalp infection.

Materialism is strong with us. It's surprising when you encounter surprise at that.

It’s probably the smallest year over year update AW has ever had. But it’ll still be a great upgrade from a series 4.

and the slab design was awful. Can’t believe so many wanted that.

Are you talking about the design they were speculating on that's like the phones with the flat sides? I think that's hideous in a watch.

Was in an Apple Store today - had ordered the AW7 45mm with aluminium and starlight - sport band same color. Really not my taste. Was hoping that looked better in person. Bummer.

Had it side to side with my AW4 44mm. Size is not really bigger. Unfortunately, the new screen didn't impress me either. Started several apps on the watch to test speed. Yes it's faster but my AW4 takes like 1 or 0.5 secs longer.

All the apps that i use (Workout, Fitness, Weather) seem to be cached in memory so didn't matter either.

Really wanted to upgrade but ended up canceled my order and i will just wait for the AW8.

And might turn out to be pretty uncomfortable for some users. When I bike, my wrist can be bent enough in some riding positions that I think a square-ish case could be uncomfortable. I'm guessing that could be true for a variety of other workout types (for example, some lifting workouts?).

Yes, if 4 and 6 didn't persuade you to upgrade, I'm not sure what would! But it's clearly a personal choice.

im on the fence if i want to return my AW7 or not, i really like the green color and the screen size over my AW6 but the battery life is worse on my AW7 compared to my Graphite SS AW6. i might just keep and use both for whatever mood im in for the day i guess. but my AW7 is consistantly about 15-20% lower at the end of the day compared to my AW6 with 91% battery health...
