What about watch Series 5? Do you think it’s a good update?
Series 5 was the first usable Apple Watch for me.
If you’re not always on you’re not a watch. You’re just a device that happens to be strapped to the wrist.

I'm doing just that. Have a 6, getting a 7, and that's just because I also want a silver watch.Imagine buying the series 6 and buying the 7 a year later . I hate to see what your auto loan situation is I assume you change cars before you have to fill it up with gas.
This I agree with. I was very puzzled and disappointed that there’s no silver aluminum. And seriously, no aluminium silver space grey and black Color option is BAD.
Imagine giving a crap what other people do with their money.Imagine buying the series 6 and buying the 7 a year later . I hate to see what your auto loan situation is I assume you change cars before you have to fill it up with gas.
Amazon is showing the extended holiday return window for me, so you may have until Jan 31 actually.Honestly I'm happier in this way: I will get it sooner and I will have 30 days return instead of 14.
I just returned my starlight aluminum series 7. I‘ve always had the silver aluminum watch and had hoped that the new color is not too much different. Unfortunately I don‘t like it at all. It‘s just too beige / rose gold . I hate that apple forces you to buy a stainless steel watch if you want silver. I just want an aluminum watch in silver, no other material.
Also the new display didn’t impress me. Compared to series 6 you can definitely see that the display lies far more inside the body and there‘s a bigger distance between the glass and the oled. Therefore the display didn’t seem to be as sharp as the series 6‘s display. It was even a bit darker in direct comparison to the series 6. I was really looking forward to the bigger display 🤷🏻♂️ Well, I think I just stick with my series 6 and will see what next years’ series 8 will bring.
I agree on the silver aluminum vs. starlight aluminum. Your note on the display is very interesting. That was really the only reason I was going to replace my S6 with a S7. If it's not as sharp, then it's a whole lot less attractive. I have a silver SS S7 available for pickup and was going to trade in my S6. I think I'll take a careful look this morning before I do anything, especially trade in the S6.I just returned my starlight aluminum series 7. Nope. What is nonsense is telling others how to spend their money.this is nonsense
I’m glad I’m not alone with the series 3. Still ticking. Hopefully redesign for series 8. I’ll definitely jump on that.Same. Still on Series 3. I'm tempted but then I thought that my AW3 works just fine and not much innovation in AW7.

There is no messenger. It's an utterly useless thread to open in the first place.Don’t shoot the messenger.
This update sucks and is virtually useless for a Series 6 owner.
Shame on you Apple.
Maybe I‘m just super picky but the display looked odd to me. Like a magnifying glass sitting on top of the oled display. Don‘t get me wrong. It was still perfectly readable. Just a tiny bit less sharp than the series 6. Since the oled itself is flat and doesn‘t curve this might be the reason for the effect.I agree on the silver aluminum vs. starlight aluminum. Nobody has to upgrade every year. Nobody even has to buy an apple watch at all. But I think if you‘re interested in technology and enjoy new gadgets it’s totally fine. And it should be everyone’s own decision. The problem is yours, some of you guys update your gadgets every year, this is nonsense. There's no other gadget you replace every year. This is consumism unleashed. And even more, we already knew Series 7 changes were insignificant.
I thinks there is a psychology of wanting to have something everybody is raving about. But when the tech pundits don’t rave about it then they see it as less desirable. Kinda like not wanting to date somebody until you see them going out with somebody else, but in reverse.Maybe he hoped for a super secret surprise like an all new health sensor.. 🤨
But yeah, as you said everything is exactly as expected. Don’t understand all the whiners canceling orders after watching the reviews. Hopefully some of you get your watches delivered sooner 😄
My only quibbles this year are the colors and the repeat of the SOC non-upgrade that we got with series 5. But coming from my series 4 this is significant.I have a 4 and need the bike workout enhancements. All the other new stuff is gravy. From a 6 I’d say no way. Even the colors this year are meh. No purple?

I wouldn’t blame my „buyer‘s remorse“. It was just my subjective impression. But if you think about it, 50% thicker glass will probably not have the same clarity, since it will absorb more light from the oled.I'd take that "note" with a grain of salt, given his buyer's remorse. I highly doubt the display is less sharp. That wouldn't make any sense.
