With delivery dates of Oct. 22 - Oct. 24, seems you're wrong there.
Do Best Buy orders tend to ship at the same time as Apple orders? I hope I get a tracking number today.
My quoted delivery date from Apple is 22-24. So has nothing to do with UPS delivering early. This is just a weird launch, with no launch date as of now. I'm guessing Wednesday as the launch date.

I think going to the Apple Store on launch day is kind of fun
But also, when the iPad launches its like any other day as most people are still there to buy iPhones
Ordering online is easier than driving 200 miles to the nearest Apple Store and back.
Sure, there is Tesco and PC World, but in a small town, launch day stock is rare.
Because pre-ordering is even easier than that? Seriously, took me a few minutes, I'm having it delivered to work so it requires less hassle on my part, then I can easily pick it up from my desk and use it.
