iPad I just placed my iPad Air 2 order. Post your shipping estimates!

So looks like at least the early order U.S. WiFi models are shipping stateside...
Also maybe no delivery holds this year?


Any U.S. cellular models shipped yet?
 
My launch day pre-ordered iPad Air 2 64GB WiFi + Cellular is still 'Processing'. I have an expected delivery between October 22nd - 24th. It's 3.29pm here in the UK. Is there much chance it will arrive tomorrow?
 
64gb Space Gray, Wi-Fi, just received shipped notification, waiting on UPS tracking number to become active.

I ordered 2 64GB WiFi, one silver, one gold, within minutes of orders opening, in the Boston area. Delivery estimate was Oct. 23-27. It's been Preparing for Shipment since yesterday afternoon.
 
Thats weird mine says preparing for shipment but when I put my phone number in UPS track by reference it says it shipped...

Happens all the time, takes a while for it to enter to system usually. Add me to the cellular still processing group.
 
Ordered the following right after the Apple Online Store came back online on October 17th:

iPad Air 2 - Space Gray - 64GB
Delivers: Oct. 27-Oct. 29

iPad Air 2 - Black - Smart Case
Delivers: Oct. 23-Oct. 27

Can't wait! :)
 
10/31 estimate from Verizon. 64GB Space Grey iPad Air 2. Ordered at 9:00AM on 10/17.
 
Got the case yesterday. The iPad Air 2 128GB Black, still says preparing to ship with a 22-24 expected delivery date. All this waiting is driving me nuts. Almost makes you want to get a Samsung tablet and just walk into the store and grab one off the shelf on launch day.

I said "Almost", stop throwing things at me.....cut it OUT...WHOA...who the F threw a frickin' knife?????!?!!??...Again, I said, "almost". Get a grip.

Does anyone know how to use flightaware.com to figure out what plane(s) your iPad is on? Do I wait until it departs from a specific city and use that as the origin and my local airport as the destination? I guess that there are several segments to the flight. I do live within 35 miles of a Delta hub.

Assuming you are in the US, the flight will go from China to Anchorage, Alaska, then to Louisville, Kentucky where it will be processed through customs at Worldport (usually goes through automatically since everything is predeclared). From Louisville, flights taking off to deliver throughout the US usually start around 3am Louisville time, it's actually kind of fun to watch if you are there, flight after flight after flight, one right after another.

So you can use http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS to look at UPS flights in the air. The last time I had an Apple product shipped from China, the Anchorage leg came from Hong Kong (VHHH is the airport code for Hong Kong, PANC for Anchorage). Depending on demand, there can be several flights between China and Anchorage, and from Anchorage to Louisville, and some major US cities have more than one flight from Louisville.
 
Just tried tracking by reference number with UPS tracking to no avail-I put in my phone number with no spaces....is there any other number you use?
 
128gb, space gray, cellular iPad Air 2 still in processing. Ordered as soon as Apple.com was online on 10/17. Delivery estimate is 10/23-10/27
 
Got a notification this morning that my iPad Air 2 wifi-only 64gb space gray has shipped. I looked at the UPS link and it shows only the label created, no estimate on delivery date. I'm in SF.

you should be getting a confirmation email that it has shipped with the delivery date. i did anyway :)

If he's in SF, it's probably coming ground from southern CA. West Coast tracking that has been seen so far all show UPS ground from southern CA. Just got my ship notification, and I've had tracking live for this package on the UPS site since last night.
