Mine was listed for 22-24...but it's still processing. My cases shipped immediately.
UPS shipping my iPad air2 FROM CHINA?!
Apple just notified me that my iPad air 2 is now shipping and I'm supposed to get by the end of the week. I clicked on the tracking number which brought me to UPS website. I was surprised to see that it is being shipped direct from china. I figured apple would have a whole bunch shipped to a warehouse here in the states and then ship them them off to customers. I can't wait! I'm getting the gold 64gb

Any other Canadian deliveries. Mine is still showing "Preparing for Shipment" estimate is "Oct 27-29" .. Standard Shipping.
Yeah I'm a Canadian delivery. Delivery to Toronto actually. It's saying preparing for shipment" since yesterday.. I ordered five min after the site went live. 64gb version. Delivery estimate is 24-27th.
From my experience, new iPad's have come from China. Refurbed iPad's have come from Tennessee. Apple has a 'just in time' delivery system where orders are met in real time which means their go to source is typically Foxconn in China.
What is the expected delivery date? You'd be surprised how quickly they move things around the world.
I got my MBA shipped from China and got it in 3 days. Note: It took 3 days to build as it was BTO.
Mine is still "preparing for shipment" since late yesterday morning. Hopefully it ships at some point today so it comes tomorrow to match the earlier end on the 22-24 delivery dates.

Some people (me for one) are getting theirs shipped from stock already in the US. Others like you are getting yours fulfilled from stock coming off the assembly lines in China. This is actually a bit unusual, usually all pre-orders end up shipping from China.
I think I've only seen one cellular order have any movement beyond 'processing', and that was in Canada.

I have it shipping to office and receptionist mentioned I got a package and it's at my desk. Told her I was expecting the new ipad and before I could say I don't have a day yet she said "Sure seems awfully light"
*looks at packing slip* Total Weight: 0.2kg. ipad itself is still preparing for shipment and delivery is between 22-24.FWIW the smart cover box just says "Compatible with iPad Air" (doesn't mention which one)

So it seems like they didn't change the cover at all. This is disappointing since the magnets were very weak.
My cover came from likely the same place, Harrisburg PA to Cleveland OH, UPS Ground. It shows it departed Harrisburg on the 20th at 8:18 PM and was delivered the 21st at 9:51 AM. Hopefully same speedyness happens with ipad.
first it said i would get it by thursday afternoon, but i just checked the tracking again and now it says it is being "held" for the following reason "The shipment is being held. Commodity description information must be validated by the sender."
