you should be getting a confirmation email that it has shipped with the delivery date. i did anyway
You're right - I didn't see it the first time: Oct 23rd.
Ordered an 64GB iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi model in Space Grey, the morning pre-orders went live on the East Coast (I live in the DC metro area).
Received my confirmation email at 11:12am EST (12 minutes after pre-orders went live), with an estimated delivery time frame of October 22nd and October 24th.
Checked the order status yesterday morning to see that my order had changed from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment."
It's been more than 24 hours now and it's still stuck in "Preparing for Shipment". Tracking by reference using my phone number through both UPS and FedEx show no results. Called Apple about half an hour ago, and they also don't have any changes reflected in their systems. Hopefully it ships out by the end of the day.

I ordered the iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi 64 GB right when pre-orders went live. I received the UPS confirmation that my products will arrive on Wednesday. I'm in San Diego as well.

Il when I first ordered it was oct 29-31 delivery,
After it was shipped yesterday the estimate on ups site says oct23 is the expected delivery.

Any other Canadian deliveries. Mine is still showing "Preparing for Shipment" estimate is "Oct 27-29" .. Standard Shipping.
I ordered originally Friday, then canceled and re-ordered Saturday after realizing I got a $20 student discount. For both orders, the delivery estimate was Oct. 27-29 (iPad Air 2 64GB Space Grey).
Kind of a bummer! Guess I'm screwed. Other people sound like theirs are getting delivered on the 23rd already. I wish Amazon would have been doing pre-orders so I could have gotten it overnight with Prime!

I ordered less than 5 minutes after the site went live. It's also showing "preparing for shipment". Mine is estimated to deliver between Oct 23-27. It's a a space grey cellular 128 GB model. I'm in Toronto.
I called Apple and they said it will most likely ship out tonight and I MIGHT get it before the window specified (when I've ordered MacBooks in the past, it moved from place to place quicker than imaginable) ... Here's to hoping lol

Sorry for the all caps, just got excited. Now I'm waiting on Best Buy to ship the iPad itself. If I didn't have that $150 gift card, I would've bought directly from apple.

iPad Air 2 64GB Space Gray just shipped and got my UPS tracking number!
Surprise it's coming UPS Ground? That seems like a first.
When did you order? I've got an Air 2 64GB Space Grey as well, but it still says "processing"!
Don't hold your breathe. Apple doesn't know. Two completely different sides of the business. They are not allowed to know anything that you don't have in terms of shipping.
Why? Under promise, over deliver. You just most likely kept forcing the might out of them, unless they aren't the smartest cookie.
