Glad to know I'm not alone mate :D. Looks like there's been a delay to iPad heading down under. I was supposed to receive on 27th. Whereabouts in AUS are you? I'm in Melbourne, and last time with the iPhone it reached Sydney first.
 
Mine made it to Dallas last night at 7 pm.

I'm 4 hours away. But there it has sat at DFW all day.

It's supossed to deliver tomorrow. But 30 hours wait in Dallas.. come on Apple and UPS.

I'm gonna go to my room now and cry for a good part of the evening.:(
Hopefully my wife won't notice.:rolleyes:

Same here. Mine is at a local UPS facility. I'm tempted to break in...:D

I wonder what was the point of delaying if there wasn't a hard launch date.
 
Mine sure is meandering its way to me. I thought from Louisville, KY it would go to Detroit Metro. But no..it's in Dayton, OH now. I didn't expect that.Still plenty of time to get from Dayton to Romulus, MI (the Detroit Metro Airport) but it's had so many layovers (Two cities in China, South Korea, Alaska, Kentucky, Ohio).


Does anyone know if there's another stop between Dayton, OH and Detroit? I can't find a flight on flightaware that leaves before 6:30AM. That seems to be cutting it too close to be "out for delivery" tomorrow. Probably be fine but I can't solve the mystery of what small city will it go next before hitting southeast Michigan. Isn't there some city in Illinois that a lot of UPS packages route through (not Chicago, some obscure place).

Update: It's in Livonia which is easily close enough to Detroit to have delivery tomorrow. I think they must have driven it to Livonia from Dayton in a truck. It took 6 hours.
Out for Delivery today, Friday.

Last I heard there was a major corruption scandal/probe going on in Shenzhen China and Hong Kong involving Customs officers, resulting in extra scrutiny of every single parcel coming in/out of that area. Plus there's the protest in Hong Kong too. The iPhone I ordered left China from ShangHai Pudong Int' Airport so no delay there.
 
16GB WIFI Gold,mine delivered at 10:57 this morning,so far loving the speed and how snappy it is,no lag whatsoever. And am loving the gold color on the iPad. It's about time:)

man.. i thought ordering online is easier and faster.. I expect to get it on the releasing day (Apple store started selling them yesterday).
I wish I could cancel and just buy one from the store. Very sad.

How did it manage to leave the Ontario facility at 4pm, only to return to it at 4:45pm? :(

Still due for delivery (pickup) tomorrow... fingers crossed.

I'm sure I a, not the only one, but mine was delivered today in Ontario. Unfortunately, I wasn't home to receive the package. Fortunately, the UPS store is within walking distance. I'll go pick it up tomorrow morning.
 
So I've been using this thing all afternoon. Wow. I got the 128 GB Cellular Space Grey. The screen is a serious upgrade over the Air in a very subtle way. If you want to see a real world difference and own an iPhone 6, download asphalt 6 for both and play an little on both devices. It's such a miraculous thing that it's so thin but so powerful. Very impressed.
 
Just got off the phone with FedEX and my cellular 128GB will be waiting for me at 8:30 tomorrow morning at the local dispatch facility. Love not having to wait all day for it. :)

I had the same - Just got off the phone with TNT and the shipment has just arrived - online tracking has also just been updated. The update just means, at this stage, that they are waiting for Customs clearance and the lady basically said don't expect any movement until Monday - while I hope that she was overly pessimistic I'm in Canberra so Monday at the earliest methinks.

She alse mentioned thet the 'rerouted' bit probably means that the shipment was sent on the wrong flight but who knows what the real story is.

It's a pity as there have been reports of Australians already recieving them and they apparently placed their orders only minutes before me - mine was at just after 7AM last Saturday.

Finger crossed. My estimated delivery is still Monday 27th October. Hope they keep their promise :D

Yeah I'm about 40 kms away from Melbourne, Australia. Arrgh! I hope I get a shipping update soon..

Thanks man for the update! I pre ordered my iPad Air 2 Gold 16GB /w Engraving @ 2 AM on Saturday so I guess the shipping and other people in AUS getting it earlier was just the luck of the draw.

It's not apple, it's the pathetic freight forwarding company! I can't believe how poor there on the phone service is! Pathetic! I wanted to know what recovery action underway means, both consultants had no idea!!!! I'll never purchase something online again! Rather watch the grass grow!

My expected delivery is 27th! Keep dreaming!

I know it's not Apple. Apple should use UPS worldwide, NOT TNT for AUS!
