hey Im 20 so I can see where your coming from but don't call him a douche that just gives him more reason to poke fun.

But also if you guys only have the ONE car why are you buying a $1,300 laptop? Wouldn't it make sense to use that as a down payment for another car ? Just my opinion no sarcasm intended
 
Ordered mine last night!

2.4ghz
4GB Ram
250GB HDD

Plus
Adobe CS4 Design Premium

Expected to ship 21-27. I paid for xpress shipping hoping it comes earlier. The wait is going to be torture! My Apple store doesn't have any in yet. No turning back for me because i did BTO with the 4GB. I am so excited!

we only have one car right now because theres no room in the driveway for another one. we are living with our cousins at the moment and the driveway is already packed with cars. and my dad already promised me a laptop as a graduation gift, so ive been waiting for the right time to buy one...

but yeah, i do apologize for calling him a douche, but then again, im the type of person that says that jokingly, i guess the internet isnt the best way to show that eh? ;)
 
So excited! My MacBook was supposed to arrive between October 21 and 27th, but I just received a confirmation email saying that it will arrive by October 17th. Major upgrade!

Apple is replacing my janky white 2.16 May 07 with the 2.0 Alu MB. Awesome.
 
just placed my order for the 2.4ghz version. both my local apple stores sold out and i'm not about to waste time checking up on their inventory every day.
 
I went and picked up a brand new 2.4ghz a few hours ago at the Apple store in Southlake, Texas.

This Mac is SHUWEEEEEET! :D

Still getting used to the trackpad. I love the keyboard. The fit and finish of the notebook itself is spectacular. It just 'feels' good if that makes any sense. I love it so far!

That's when i anticipate buying into a macbook...
i just dont need one yet, and i wana wait as much as i can so that i can have the best possible hardware and the best system performance. :)

Also, my configuration will have a 320GB HDD because i plan to run Vista on Bootcamp :D

lol when i got home yesterday and pulled it up on the net, i found myself drooling @ the finish and amazing style...

as for the trackpad, i dont think it's a problem because i double tap my trackpad to click on my windows laptop anyways :D
 
placed my order about 30 minutes ago using standard shipping, but wanted to change to 1 day. called in to try to change, the csr said the mb was already been prepared for shipment wtf! fast!

what time did you place your order? i ordered mine at 9:15AM this morning...right when i woke up lol

if it was much earlier...then im probably gonna see the email confirmation in a couple hours or so...hoping its today!

I ordered mine at 9:59 EST! A little after you. Did you customize your MacBook or is it the regular 2.4?

its the regular one! WTF!!?!?!? hahaha

MB 13.3/2.4/2X1GB/250/SD/BL-KB-USA thats what it shows in the Order Details

just checked it...yup...ordered at 9:16 EST...and still shows up as prepared for shipment...

maybe the people updating the statuses are really slow? like they forgot to update mine? :p

EDIT: Oh Aztec, did you realize that we paid almost 2000 dollars for that machine? man...canadian prices are getting pretty ridiculous lol
 
Just came back from Apple store in Aventura, FL with my new 2.4 MacBook.
They also had the DVI adapter in stock for freaking $29 ....

Haha yeah, man. Took me a while to choose between the 2.0 model and the 2.4. I finally decided that in the long run, the 2.4 would serve me better. Considering that it is a 20% upgrade, it's pretty much worth it if you plan on keeping your computer for a while (like i plan on doing).

yeah same here, that was my plan too...i mean college and everything, i dont want to have to buy another laptop within that time
 
I AM BUMMED!!!

I ordered my Macbook this morning at 7AM. The local Apple store reps said it was not going to be in til the weekend. I just called the local apple store to see if they had some available. THEY HAVE A LOT AVAILABLE! I wish I waited to buy one at the store.

do you have a store close to you? the closest one for me is like an hour and a half away...so it wasnt really worth it to drive

man, if i still lived in california, i would have had mine already lol
