I keep adding it to my cart and then deciding I don't want it... over and over again.

Found it in stock today. Came close to committing. Then, cold feet.

Pretty sure I want it because I'm bored.

It sure looks cool and different.

Tomorrow I will commit.

Maybe.
No go ahead and pull the trigger this is what Apple wants . Put yourself on a payment plan with your cell phone carrier or use credit . Bottom line you gotta have this awesome device you’ll love it trust .😁

Same boat!! It’s 100% want. My S7 is fine. I won’t use ANY of the new outdoor features. I just like new things. I’d have it by now if it was in stock.
Having to order and wait is what’s changing my mind.
Just do it You work hard and deserve to treat yourself . And besides apple wants us updating devices every year anyways 😁

Your post is filled with lots of red flags. Your actions are telling you no. Time to listen.

Are you worried that the size and weight of the Ultra will stretch out your Braided Solo Loop?
Unlikely. The braided loop fits exactly like it did in the AW8, so it's not like it's stretching the band more. That was actually the reason I put on the braided loop. So yes ithe watch is bigger, but they positioned the band rails so that it wears exactly the same as your regular AW.

And on the 5th time, I bought it. Now to decide whether I keep the S8 for when I'm feeling fancy.
Nice, congrats on landing one. It looks solid! How’re you liking the flat screen and battery life?

  • Although no damage on mine, this titanium finish is probably not as durable as you may be led to believe: my gold Series 7's PVD coating has kept it looking almost completely new since I got it as a gift for Christmas last year (a slight hairline scratch that may have very well been from the factory that I missed until MUCH later on is the only exception). The screen, however, has a noticeably thicker, less smooth feel which is probably because Apple made that more durable.

This is what is worrying me. I have had a Space Black Stainless Steel series 3 and the case still looks spotless after 5 years. I cannot say this about any other watch I have owned. I am worried that the Ultra would look very banged up after one year on my wrist. Titanium is a much softer metal than Stainless steel and the bezel looks really exposed.

You are assuming he can't afford it. What in his post gave you that impression?

Strange. For me the solo loop is too loose on the ultra. Perfect for the series 8 though

I caved and ordered one today. Says 10/7 delivery. What sealed it for me is the fact I can use my Series 7 bands. I didn’t want to start over.

Had one for 2 days (currently have a 7 @ 45mm and a Fenix 5), returned it yesterday. It's a very nice case & form factor, great screen, looks much bigger even if it's deceptive. Function wise and apart from the novelty items like siren & diving (irrelevant for me) it's not much different than my 7, certainly not $1200 different (in Canada). I recently bought a Garmin Epix 2 that Ultra is supposed to go head 2 head against, returned it too due to unjustifiable cost (not affordability, just cost vs benefit compared to other products half the price). Compared to the Epix the Ultra is much better value due to its broad useability, but still way overpriced compared to a 7 or 8.

Got mine today worth every cent, finally a good looking apple watch, hopefully not many buy it like the normal watch, will feel better out and about with it, without every tom dick and harry wearing one lol

Agreed, I really like the look and design of the Ultra. But like you I also returned mine. Mostly because it felt like a lot of unused features for me. Turns out the SS8 is more what I want out of my smartwatch this year. I’m eager to see the Ultra 2; guessing it’ll have better battery, a sleeker design, possibly offered in a smaller size, and different finishes. I believe Apple is market testing this new line with the Ultra and will use the data to guide future versions’ feature updates.

I totally want to see one of these in the wild before I fork over any money, I have a suspicion that it wont fit under my motorbike jacket so that could be a deal breaker… it might be too big for my wrist and that would be a deal breaker… lastly my series 5 is absolutely fine, I don’t need a new smart watch right now… I think ill wait until the next generation

You won’t regret it. If it’s a money stretch then don’t do it, it’s not THAT mind blowing. If you’re going to get the 8, then get the Ultra.

If you have a Best Buy CC it’s $80 off right now…
I have a Best Buy CC - how can I take advantage of the $80 discount?

Yes it will. It has a sharp frame around the display. So dents and scratches will come…

The video is this thread shows more scratches on the glass of the non-ultra after being drug across pavement than the Ultra had on its case, and the Ultra has almost no glass scratches.
