Was checking the BB online store it saw this

Its probably a typo, but probably worth a shot to go to your local BB store and see if you can get it for that price.

It says $49,99 now. Could well be the real price imo and not a typo. The regular price is something like 69 bux , i believe? Looks like a good deal .

Lack of middle mouse button is a real dealbreaker for me. I currently use a Logitech MX518, a very comfortable mouse.

Glad to hear its working out for the OP tho, im still eager to try this mouse out in real life, even if i dont buy it.

Yeah, that's just the Mighty Mouse with the wrong picture. Description:

"Easily navigate through applications on your Mac with this mouse that features force-sensing side buttons and a scroll ball. Optical technology provides accurate cursor movement on most surfaces without the need for a mouse pad."

Magic Mouse:
- No side buttons
- No scroll ball
- Laser, not optical

Would have been a great deal... look at the price on Amazon right now. $119! Ridiculous.

the apple site also has an error like that also. if you type in magic mouse in the search bar at apple.com, a magic mouse with the description "featuring the amazing scroll ball..." comes up. i noticed that around the time when it first came out and it still hasn't changed.

That's not Amazon's price -- it's some other vendor's price (and it's hard to see how they could trick anybody into paying it). Amazon (selling as itself; see the other options box) has them listed for the regular price, but they have no stock.

The only mighty mouse/apple mouse had an issue where you couldn't right click without lifting up your other finger. Is this resolved? (I'd think, as it allows for multi-touch.)

Hmm, how does multi-touch solve the "issue"? If the mouse recognizes two fingers on the surface as a secondary click, that'd mean you have to lift your middle finger to do a primary click. Not any better.

In short, it's still the same.

Magic Mouse for Maya

Seems the lack of a third button would make using the magic mouse with 3d software like Maya impossible. Anybody opinions?

I hope they make an windows version of it!

It would be amazing!

Omg that mouseclick software works perfect! I know have Spaces on my "third" mouse button. (All I do is click with three fingers at once. Really easy and natural)

This mouse is now perfect!

Windows drivers are needed - it sucks that I can't scroll in Boot Camp.

Does the mighty mouse work for something like World of Warcraft where if i press both left and right click together it acts as a different action to a single left or right click?

Hmmmmm. Thanks for the update. That's a bummer since the Magic Mouse is shipping standard with the new iMac... I would like to run windows via boot camp or virtualize it... but now i need to get a different mouse lol.

Is this being worked on by Apple or some third party?

:(

You can left click and right click. Nothing else. So if you need scroll then page up/down or go to the window list. That is why it's sort of useless. You have many generic mice that have scroll functions in osx and windows. Magic Mouse is not one of them. Seems kind of 1980 to me. Not Apple thinking. I hope windows drivers are in the works from someone/anyone too.

Apple probably knows that this problem exist, im sure they are working on it.

Nervertheless, the Magic Mouse is awesome for OS X. Im sure Windows support is in the pipeline.

I've been working with mine for about 4 hours now. Finally, an Apple mouse I can live and work with. For me, it's perfect. The ballistic scroll is great. The ability to do page forward/page backward in Firefox is a huge plus -- I missed that on the old Might Mouse.

Off to Goodwill to give somebody else a shot at a Mighty Mouse. Little by little I'll replace the 3 others that I have, probably as they fail (one already has).

Obviously, mice likes and dislikes are highly personal.

you can do page forward/backward in firefox if you use a program like steermouse to remap buttons

True! But I prefer not to have all those extra little apps running, if possible. And with the MS mice I used to use for Windows, the forward/backward buttons were easy to use with my thumb.

Anyway, now it's possible with an Apple mouse, and I'm happy.

I also like the size and feel (gush, gush). But it's been so long since I've been really comfortable with a mouse that I can't help it.

If anyone is using this in Windows / Bootcamp and scrolling is not working there's a fix here!

Worked perfect for me :)
