Sure, there's taste and opinions. But it's totally possible to elloborate, give arguments to support your views. I mean, what else can we get out of this pretty pointless thread?
It's pretty simple with the old netbooks; they look cheap to me because of shiny plastics and bad build quality. They can look ugly because of the footprint-to-thickness-ratio.
Can't imagine you can't think of a reason why you think of the MacBook this way. Maybe compare it with a MacBook that doesn't look like a toy to you?
I, for example, think the MacBook looks fancy and expensive. The shiny Apple logo on the lid, the anodized aluminum, the unibody design that eliminates break lines, the slim design that looks like it took some serious engineering to get it that way. That's just what I see.
