To be fair the OP I do not believe this was click bait, maybe the comment was not worthy of discussion, but equally we replied Dohh (this is another reply)
Maybe we should let it die peacefully ..........................
Yup, Chrome OS. These are excused from looking cheap and hobby-like because those are features of the notebook. Although I don't know why the designers decided to bring attention to the hinges. Fake metal on white plastic doesn't look nice.Glad to be of inspiration
This looks like the big fat ugly cousin of the 2010 Macbook. I never saw the appeal of Chrome OS. I assume that is what this is, right?

I am glad some/most of you guys liking it. I just don't like how it looks.![]()
yesterday.
I was at a shop which had several Macs. At one part there was the latest Macbook, next to it a Macbook Air and next to that a Macbook Pro.
While I expected to see the Macbook as the thinnest and smallest, I didn't expect to see it as....a toy. It looked almost fake to my eyes compared to the other two laptops. I enjoyed videos of it on youtube etc where it looks great, but up close....not so much. I am not even kidding when I say that a netbook I bought in 2008 looked less of a toy that this.
Unfortunately I am not exactly looking to buy a new Mac right now, but if I was going for something light, I would definitely go for the Air.
The reason I am writing this is because of how shocked I still am to how bad it looked to me.
God I hope the next laptops from Apple (Air/Pro) don't try to copy this.
I just received my gold MacBook yesterday and it just looks so slick, so sharp! My MacBook Pro 15" looks and feels like a tank now.
That said, the MacBook is more fashionable than the other more tech-looking MacBooks. Maybe that's what you mean? I love it.

Funny how that can happen. I guess you are "trolling" too. It's funny because when I bought my 2015 Macbook after seeing it in the stores last year, I thought that compared to the MacBook Air (which is what I was going to get before this Macbook came out), I thought it made the macbook Air look like a cheap toy. For me, specifically talking about the screen quality of the Macbook over the Air and the silver bezels that the Air has over the all glass display over the Macbook. I've had mine for just about a year now and I still love it. I travel a lot so it's fantastic for my needs. The only complaint I have is that the battery could last longer, though I've never been in a situation where I can't plug it in if it gets low.
You started a thread to say that you think the rMB looks like a toy.
Ok, cool. I guess people on here will stop buying it now.
Thanks for letting us know.
I couldn't agree more. When I bought my rMB, I spent like one hour looking at the different portable Macs. I wanted something ultraportable and initially had thought of going with a 11" MBA. But just by looking at both devices side-by-side - I kept always going back to the rMB. It wasn't just the screen, or the keyboard. It was the Mac as a whole. OK, the screen played a great role in my choice, but also the overall design and touch'n'feel (I really dig the new keyboard). That's a real shame as I think that it's the best Apple product of all time. I love the design. I hated the MacBook Air though - that horrible year 2000 silver bezel thing and the tinny sounding speakers. I just don't understand the love for the Air - to me, it looks so dated. And I love Rose Gold but Apple's colour is not a proper rose gold.
