Do you think you could comfortably fit them in your pocket, and use them while on the bus or train without much trouble? i'm having trouble decking which one to get, and the deciding factor is portability, because i commute a lot too and from university.

The big phone can fit in all my work pants pockets (I wear suits generally M-Thursday). I have some slim jeans that the phone may stick out length wise.

Sometimes on the train, I hold on to a pole and play games one-handed with my current 5c. That will be impossible with the 6+. There will be more two handed use.

Exactly! Your post helped push me over the edge to get the 6+. I've been going back and forth in my mind, but this made it final for me. I remember buying my 52" TV and getting it home and mounting it on the wall. The first thought I had was, "damn, I should have got the 60". Then, last year I finally got a 70" after debating 70" or 80" and, even though I love it, I wish I would have got the 80".

I'm not making the same mistake with the iPhone because I know I will always think in the back of my mind that I should have got the larger one. So, all that being said, 6+ for me without a doubt! 64GB, Space gray.:apple:

Here's one more advice you can ponder on. Not sure how you're going to acquire the 6+, but what I would do is. Purchase the 6+, try it out for 14-days, if it's too big, then exchange it for the 6. Or you can do vice versa. Just make sure you can do an exchange without fees to whichever retail store you're purchasing from. I know the Apple Store will allow it. That's what I did when I first bought an iPad mini. It was too small, exchanged it, and got an iPad Air. You have these options to ensure you're getting the right 6/6+.

Yes, except for my big screen TV sits in my living room and I don't carry it around with me everywhere :D

True, a TV sits or hangs in your living room, but I was more focused on screen size more so than the convenience of carrying it in a pocket. This is more your issue? I usually just carry mine in-hand. Can you put it in your back pocket, be cautious of it when you sit and pull it out? I don't know, but read my advice right above this. Maybe, that will help

Actually, 5.5 is not that big. It is your cunsom not big enough. After u get use to this size, u may want bigger.
And of cause, 6+ is the toppest. The relation between 6+ and 6 is as well as 5s and 5c. U can see that during the whole presentation, 6+ is the leading role. Many new functions are designed for 6+.
Size is not the problem, it is your thought.

Uh, no it's most definitely not. How could you possibly draw the conclusion that the difference between the 6 and the 6+ is like the 5S and the 5C? Get a grip and read an article about it from the thousands of tech sites we have.

I was in the same dilemma early on then thought why cut myself short? If you start small, you'll never know what you're missing. But if you start big and see that it's not something you want to handle, you can always go small.

Yes, exactly. Which is why I suggest to go 6+ first. If too big, exchange it and downsize to a 6. Most carriers will allow a 14-day exchange policy (hopefully no fees). Apple offers it and it makes deciding easier IMO.

6+ = best phone buy way too big. I feel like it might conflict with my fashion choices. I got big hands so using it isn't the problem, it's when I'm not using it is the problem.

6 = I feel like I might regret not getting the 6 plus if I get this one... but the 6+ again may be too ***** big...

Simple. If you're a man get 6. If woman. Get 6+ since you'll need a purse. If you like the 4 inch size get 5s

Hopefully, this will help too:

I commute a lot so portability is important to me, if i can put the phone in my pocket and still be able to walk around, sit down and just general everyday things, then i would get the iPhone 6 Plus.

I also play games, i also often listen to music while on the bus with earphones plugged into my current iPhone (5s)

6plus will be nice to have if you are mostly stationary at work or home. Me on the other hand, i use my phone for Gym, running, pool (with lifeproof case), work, going out with fitted clothes.

As much as i would love to have the 6+ to watch movies, youtube, netflix, take pics/videos and occasionally play games. I wont be able to use it at frequently as i would like at all the other places.

I WILL however get the 5.5 when the apple watch is released! I will then be able to use the watch during all the physical activities and day to day use, but use the nice 5.5 inch screen to play games and watch movies etc.

problem solved, at least for me.

Thank you for the link. This confirmed my decision that the iPhone 6 is the right size and best choice for me, even though I would like the 6 plus with its additional features.

same here, the comparison with the other phones (many at my employer have the galaxy s4) so I think it's the right size for me.

How can you be talking about any type of fashion sense when you're planning on buying the Apple Watch?

If I have a 5.5 and leave it at home while wearing my watch, will it still track my workout?

I thought it needed the phone.

I don't know why this wasn't explicity stated during the Apple event, but I've talked to many friends and co-workers that also didn't understand how smartwatch technology works after stating they want an Apple Watch. Unless Apple has re-invited smartwatch communication (which if so, they would have clearly talked about it at the event), your iPhone needs to be in close proximity to your watch at all times in order for it to work properly. It's either going to be connected via Bluetooth or WiFi. If your phone is too far away and that connection is broken, then your watch won't receive notifications, cannot send messages and cannot track your location via GPS.

I am in the same boat, I am going to Pre-order a 64GB 6+ tonight unlocked t mobile, and if i don't like it i have 14 days or INCASE it is actually locked i can just send it back threw the mail. Either way i get to atleast play around with it without leaving my house to go to the apple store. don't mind waiting if none are in stock after the 14 days if i indeed to return it. ;)

ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION THOUGH, is it 14 days from pre-order or when it ships? Anyone know?

spent 35 minutes in ATT store today just messing around with note 3 trying to figure out what i should do... i think i left more confused... part of me things its ridiculous to get the 6plus..but a big part of me WANTS it

You should try a Note 3 with a case. It's just too big for many. Every single person I know in the office with a Note 3 has no case and they all say a case would make it too big.

I, for one, am not carrying around a pricey phone without some protection. 5" with reduced or minimal bezels is probably the sweet spot.

I thought it needed the phone.

The phone is needed for GPS tracking (for apps like MapMyRun). I think it'll still track like a pedometer though (distance).

I also think the best combination would be the iPhone 6 Plus and an Apple Watch that has GPS to track my runs/rides, store an album or two and work with BT headphones.

I wonder the same things as the OP.

The only way to know for sure is to handle each version at an Apple store for a few minutes.

Try things out like; Pages, iMovie, the phone (if it calls), random texting, a few emails, web usage.

Both portrait and landscape modes.
