Ugly bands? Slap an Apple leather case on it. Problem solved.

The phone should come with one of those leather cases included. Great design - It becomes part of the phone and really cleans up the somewhat "busy" back.

I do love the case, but you miss the rolled over edge and the effect of the image seeming to be right on the top of the glass with one on.

In my humble opinion every generation since the first in 2007 has been a step to where the 6 has brought us today. Almost like an iPhone Mark II, if you will. The 2008/2010/2012 designs, just holdovers. The 6 is the first to look like a truly next gen iteration. Much like the iPad Air compared to the first ipad.

I wasn't thrilled when it was announced, but the minute I held one I instantly thought it was beautiful. The metal finish, the stainless steal logo, even the antenna blends in in day to day use.

I don't LOVE the curved glass, but it looks good in pictures.

I find the design is completely predictable which is neither good nor bad. If Apple had a weak design team it would be OK, but having the highly praised J. Ive, then only delivering such a predictable phone is a testimony to Apples brand strength. Its the logo that sells this plain Jane phone.

I really don't know what happened to Ive. I truly don't. A lot of the recent releases just look plain ugly to me.

Mac Pro? Ugly.

iPhone 6? Ugly. (The back, the bands, and the pill shape)

It simply looks like an unfinished product. It's actually hard for me to believe they released it the way it looks. Even simple things like color are just way off. Compare it to some of the concepts that floated around based on the rumors and most look WAY better. There's an attention to detail that is missing from the actual product.

You've never liked anything Apple, so what's new Troll?

I love it! Designed to fit my rounded hand. No sharp edges.

Yes, exactly my sentiment.

I love the look of the 4's, but ergonomically it's terrible. The 5's are better, but still the edges are sharp.

The 6's are nice in my hands, and that matter more than the way they look. Sure, the antenna separation could be more discrete, but it's a minor thing. I was wondering how long before Apple decides to make a phone that feels nice in the hand. They did it!

You say the 6 series is the first ugly series. Compared to what, may I ask?

The concept phones you are so envious don't qualify as iPhones so please don't use them as an example.

Pill shape is awesome. It makes holding my phone is so great!

Macpro should have been great if the body is made from a metal like the old one.

I have a good solution for you:

Don't buy Apple products!

goodbye!

That iPhone looks so sexy.

Ah. Could someone make this mockup. That would be great.

Imagine:
1. Iphone 6 size and thicknes
2. Design from 4s
3. TouchId with metal ring.

That would be awesome

I agree with 3G and 3GS were the worst looking iPhones produced. Also, they were crap in terms of quality build compare to any other iPhone made.
The best for sure has been 4/4S by far. Specially the 4S after they fix the signal issue. I gave my 4 and 4S to my little nephews and niece and till today they look brand new. Every time I get to pick up an iPhone 4/4S I realize at how great that phone was made.
5 and 5S were alright.
6 is nice but IMO they look a little better than the 5/5S but tie the 5/5S in quality. Both can't come close to the 4/4S though.

Anyone else notice that the pictures the OP used were not the real thing? Five columns of icons, small flash, flush camera, missing side buttons, etc.
Anyway, I think the new design feels the best in the hand. The only thing that I'd change would be the protruding camera so as I can go without a case & sit the iPhone flat on a desk (without it rocking).

I agree, the iPhone 6 just looks like any other Android phone. The 5S looked amazing and really set it apart. If it wasn't for the giant apple on the back, many couldn't tell the difference from just the exterior. Looks cheap.

Your pic is fake. The camera isn't flush and you have 5 icons on the dock. The lines on the back do they interfere with the performance of your iPhone? Mine don't. Don't like the lines then get a black case. Problem solved and then you don't need to worry about seeing them.

I don't think its necessarily "ugly" , but I definitely don't think its the best looking. I'm not a fan of the rounded edges of the screen either. To this day, I think the best looking iPhone was the original black iPhone 5. Nothing struck me more with aw than when I unboxed that thing. I was so sad when I sold it a few days ago :/

I also think the iPhone 4 was very sexy. Not practical, but very good looking.

It doesn't look bad to me, but there are far better looking phones in the competition. Above all, the iPhone 5/5s' design.

The iPhone 5/5s and the original HTC One M7 are the best looking smartphones I've ever seen. I miss my HTC One. Wish Apple would have focused on a sturdier frame on the 6.

the IP6 is definately not as good looking as the IP4 and IP5 because it just lack details like different materials. For example the IP4 had glas and steel, the IP5 had alu, glas and high polished parts, all this is costly because it takes more steps to produce and all this look more expansive. The IP6 on the other hand look more simple but of course still better then IP1,IP2 and IP3 because those were plastic phones. Best looking IP is the IP4 by a mile and then the IP5
