I think iPhone 6 is the first "ugly" iPhone.

I disagree.

iPhone 6 is the second most beautiful iPhone after 4 and 4S.

Ugliest iPhones ever were 3G and 3GS by far margin. I didn't find those models attractive at all. Also the first generation iPhone wasn't beautiful. Guess thats why my first iPhone was iPhone 4.
 
These threads are pointless.

Looks is such a subjective opinion, I honestly don't see the point in starting a thread on it. Judging by some of the comments in this thread, people don't take it seriously anyway!!!

I dislike the 4/4s but most seem to like it, I love the 6/6 plus but some don't like it.... Lol pointless conversation!
 
The 4 had the biggest "wow" factor when I first looked it, though it does look dated today (mostly because of the tiny screen and huge bezels). The 5 was basically a modern interpretation of that design.

I like the 6 a lot from the front, the curved glass looks great... but the rest of the phone is kind of bleh.

I dont think it looks dated, thats just because its on the market for so long and it got boring to the ppl. Its still a good design. The Ip6 just lacks in details, its just a round unipiece design like the first iphones. No glass elements anymore. For example they could have made the apple logo frosted with an LED behind it or something like that. Or illuminate those thick pastic antenna lines as a notification "band". Now it looks like a shrinked ipad.
 
the 3GS is meh. it feels good in my hand, but seeing how my screen is broke, it just looks bleh. i need to upgrade.
 
I think the 6/6+ are the best looking iPhones yet.

Uggliest was tie between iPhone 3G and the original iPhone.
 
I just wish the space grey was the same color as previous generations. They should have renamed it as it's not the same color.

100% agree with this. It's not the Space Grey I loved from last gen.
This one is more like Space Silver broken up by ugly grey lines.

I wonder if there would have been a way to have used a more seamless color for the plastic antenna breaks. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't stand out so much.

I didn't like the 5's Slate color either. iPhone 5S's color has been the best color of any generation IMO.
 
The design of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is what made me Jump! (T-Mobile Customer here) from the LG G3 Android to the iPhone 6 Plus after only having the G3 for a month and a half.

I disagree. I think the iPhone 4 was Mark II and the 6 is Mark III. The 4 was a dramatic shift in design and the 6 brought the design almost in a circle.
 
I don't think any of the phones have been ugly, they have all had some practical and innovative design features. I remember when Steve said the 4 was like a Leica camera, among others, I own a 60 year old Leica, Steve was right.

The thing I like about the 6 is the rounded sides are back, although slippery, it feels good in the hand.

But ugly...?....nah, maybe not to everyone's taste but not ugly.

It simply looks like an unfinished product. It's actually hard for me to believe they released it the way it looks. Even simple things like color are just way off. Compare it to some of the concepts that floated around based on the rumors and most look WAY better. There's an attention to detail that is missing from the actual product.

Funny, I was talking with your mom and she said the same thing about you! The fact you think the 6/+ design is ugly is fine..... The fact that you think it's uglier than the lame 3G/3GS design simply let's all know you have no taste.

It's the first iPhone release I haven't liked the design of and haven't immediately wanted to go out and buy. The back gives off a complete cheap and plastic vibe and it looks and feels worse in hand.

You really notice it now the hype has worn off and you start to see them out in public.

With that said, in a case it looks like any other phone. Imagine that, an iPhone you actually want to put a case on purely for aesthetics!
