...but I returned your 6.7” behemoth back to the Apple Store because you were just too damn big and heavy with a case on.

On that rainy day after I returned that oversized beast I walked out of the Apple Store $2300 CAD poorer but with a smile on my face no surgeon could cure and with a song in my heart. I picked the iPhone 12 Pro 512GB Silver With APpleCare+ and I couldn’t be happier.

👌

I felt kinda the same… until I switched the Casekoo case I bought on day one for a Pitaka Air case, and now I absolutely love it. Truly amazing what a difference a fraction of a millimetre makes – the Pitaka is almost like a skin rather than a case.

In terms of the weight, might I make a suggestion?

So true !!!

any phone bigger than the mini is too big for one handed use.
Depends on the user
I have the 12 pro Max and......ITS NOT HEAVY!!

you weight complainers must be extremely skinny and have an office job where you don’t regularly lift or move heavy things. A bottle of water weighs more than the iPhone, a cup of joe probably does as well. Do you complain about those items? Sure they are consumables, but come on. What else do you carry that’s heavier than the iPhone? A purse, shoulder bag... the iPhone is not heavy. WOW!
This description almost fits me but I actually have no problem with the weight and I don’t carry purses or shoulder bags anymore.

Seriously! I’m a woman and I have the 12 Pro Max, in a case, and it is nowhere near as “heavy” as these people are complaining it to be and I use my phone A LOT. I am so baffled on how many people are really complaining about it. Maybe eat more protein and take your vitamins lol lift some weights!! It’s REALLY not all that heavy. It’s about as “heavy” as a phone should be. But, to each their own. I will never go down a size. The bigger, the better. Which is amazing that Apple allows its consumers to make a choice! My 12 Pro Max is the perfect weight and the perfect phone for me! Definitely not heavy.

I’m a woman and I’m getting the PM I’ve had the iPhone 6s Plus 5 years I’m sure this isn’t much heavier. Wow how come AC got so expensive?

Seriously. Everyone saying how massive and heavy it is. It’s not either of those!

Most you ppl are missing the point here!

Yes of course bloody water and coffee is heavier but you don’t hold your water nor your coffee in landscape mode with one hand watching a movie for extended periods of time. You will FEEL 39grams or whatever over time. (226 grams - 187 = 39)

Oh and please let’s act civil - it’s not IPhone vs Android. It’s 0.6” and we’re all iPhone but let’s not be in denial and admit the Max is quite large and tall especially if you add a case and a glass screen protector on it.

I totally agree about being civil. No need to shame someone over their choice of a phone here. Apple gave us 4 choices for a reason. Play nice guys...someone’s opinion on your favorite phone doesn’t affect you. Enjoy what you have.

View attachment 1676307Not with hands like these 😉 I can easily reach all four corners using the pinky cradle and no hand shifting. The

Girls cannot comment on size as they have a purse. I know one women one day tried to convince me she knew what razor burn was because she shaves her legs which is not the same as some of us clean cut gentlemen shave every day. I joke.

I paid $249 + tax CAD for A/C+ which is quite a lot but only because I plan on keeping my phone for two years.

Hey there is no right or wrong reason to like what you like. A phone is an incredibly personal device. Now Apple makes an iphone for everyone. I personally prefer a larger phone and have no issue using two hands to get the job done. Quite accustomed to it in fact ;-).

The picture you posted for the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max differs from what I see on apple.com (https://www.apple.com/iphone-12-pro/specs/):

Screen Shot 2020-11-22 at 1.14.09 AM.png

In the above picture it states the weight of the iPhone 12 Pro is 6.66 oz (189 grams) and 12 Pro Max weight is 8.03 oz (228 grams). It is curious that the two differ when both both from Apple.

EDIT: I just checked the tech specs from the Apple Store iOS App and it shows the same as what is shown in picture I posted. Maybe Apple revised the weight spec?

THIS! When I got my 12 PM, I thought it was going to be a noticeable weight difference from the 11 PM (I even saw people with a 11 PM complaining about the 2 gram difference), and the weight feels almost the same to me. I’m a woman as well and always have my phone in my hands because I’m a heavy user and not once have I noticed the weight. I also use a popsocket for slightly easier one handed use so that may help. I’m glad Apple decided to make a bigger phone for consumers like us! I’m big on battery life and a nice big screen when it comes to smartphones, so the 12 PM is perfect for me.

Lots of people taking the word ‘heavy’ quite literally here lol.

It is possible to feel the weight of something is heavy without that meaning the person doesn’t have the strength to pick it up or carry it. Let’s not get all simplistic and pedantic over this. If someone likes a smaller iPhone because they feel it has a better weight in the hand, who is anybody else to argue? End of story.

We are talking about grams here not pounds lol. I am surprised weight is an issue

When I read these forums it seems every little detail is seemingly a potential issue. PM is about 25% heavier. I did the math in my head so +/- If weight doesn’t matter why does Apple have so many “air” products?

I prefer bigger phones and the best battery life but 12 pro is still going to get same features pretty much as the max

They haven't really lived with a portable device almost twice as heavy as the 12 pro max. On the right is my MP3 player with earbuds weighing in very close to 2x the Pro Max's weight

I have AppleCare theft and loss and I chose the monthly payment option as I won’t be able to put out so much in one to for the full cost.
