The battery life on the 6+ is the selling point of the of this device period. Coming from a Galaxy Note 3 that I loved(and sometimes miss) I've never had a phone with as incredible battery life as the 6+ This phone on average literally lasts me 2 days before I have to charge it and that is amazing! I was concerned that I would be losing out on being able to swap the battery like on my Note 3, but I don't even care anymore. The size wasn't an issue coming from an already large phone and everything else so far has been awesome. Excellent camera, great screen, sound quality, excellent battery life, snappy performance, make this phone a major win. Other than getting used to the operating system(been an Android user since the S3), and the headphone jack being on the bottom(I never owned a 5 or 5S) I'm impressed.

I had a coworker go from the 4S to the 6+ with no issues concerning the size. He took the plunge feet first and has loved it. However I don't think the size is for everyone, but sadly a store demo isn't enough. You really need to use one for 2 weeks first hand to get a real feel for it.

I am a light user, so the iphone 6 actually has great battery life. The standby time is fantastic. I pulled my phone off the charger at 4:50am and currently have 88% battery left. That is leaving location services on, bluetooth on, and wifi on 24/7 :)

you don't use it much at all do you :)

I agree- the battery life on the plus is at least twice as good as that on the 5s (which was already ok). Now if I forget to charge it at night, it's still pretty good to go for another day, which is very nice.

I currently have both the 6 and 6+
...
Any thoughts on how I can improve my web experience?

Instead of using the back button, do an edge swipe from the left edge of the phone. That's a one-handed way of going back.

Also I find that reading text in landscape mode is a lot better.

Thanks, but edge swipe is farther away than the back button in Safari.

Yeah I absolutely love my 6 Plus, it also is superb for mobile games with killer performance. i never even play phone games ever, but i downloaded Vainglory and am blown away by this game, it truly is like console class game...and it is very fun too...fantastic graphics aswell

All the store demo did initially was make me feel it was too big. You really cannot guage the device quickly for all the things you would do with it.

Unfortunately two weeks is the return timeline, I think it is enough for most folks though to guage if the device is unweilding.

Quite honestly at the end of 2 weeks I was still undecided as there were certain things I missed with Android. However the continuity with my Mac, Apple TV, and iPad were enough to keep me around. Plus the Camera and ridiculously good battery life have me sold! Plus I'm just a technology lover and always love having all of the latest gadgets. I always said the day Apple released a phablet I'd come back and here I am.

OH actually there is one more tip that I have for you. Reader Mode:
"Safari offers a special reader mode that simplifies articles on web pages. Reader Mode strips away all the navigation elements and shows you only the essential bits of the article — the article text and its images. To view the current web page in Reader Mode, just tap the icon at the left side of Safari’s address bar — it looks like several horizontal black lines."

Yes battery is amazing . Loving everything about this phone . Glad I switch from the 6 to this . Not looking back !

To hell with the 6 and 6+

I'm outside the Apple Store in NYC lined up for the iPhone 10 with the holographic sapphire screen right now

Seriously why do any of us care what SOMEONE ELSE PREFERS when it comes to their phone-choice RELATIVE to our preference?

I don't. Most people find 6+ too big and unwieldy has been my experience. It hasn't impacted my opinion or usage.

..After all this is a board discussing products. So what do you prefer we talk about ? The weather?

I've used a succession of Samsung phones in the past 2.5 years (note 1, S4, note 3, S5). I had the same reservations about the 6 plus not having a removable battery but I shouldn't have worried. The battery on this thing is a beast! It's by far the best battery life that I've experienced on any phone. In fact I think it's probably about as good as the iPad mini.

When Apple announced this phone I foolishly scoffed and said what's the big deal as I've been using bigger Galaxy devices for years. However, forgetting the OS it's the best phablet I've ever used. I say that because of several things:

Battery life is insane

Ergonomics- rounded corners make it easy to hold and it doesn't feel unwieldy at all.

Features like reachability and the landscape view. I thought they sounded gimmicky at first but I've found then really useful.

The keyboard! Apple have always had the best keyboard and the new keyboard in ios8 is even better.

Features like swipe to go back is actually better than having a back button.
