Universal I wish Apple Mail supported RSS

I don’t know if this is a controversial opinion or not. Just felt like talking about it. I wish Apple Mail supported RSS feeds. Or if not Mail, then maybe News? Or even a dedicated app (but I fear it wouldn’t get enough usage and would be abandonware quickly). It feels to me like opening the Mail app and seeing my RSS feed items just like new mail in my inbox would be pretty intuitive. I think I remember Thunderbird supporting this in some fashion, actually.

Anyway, since this isn’t gonna happen, can someone recommend a cross-platform RSS reader? I’d even consider something that emails me daily with new articles.

NetNewsWire for me these days.

Used to use Feedly, but when they changed their business model, dropped MacOS support, it got wonky on me. Don't remember the details as that was a couple/few years back.
