Uhh... yeah, it's exactly like that. I mean, none of the differences you mention above are any different from the current generations, so your comparison works flawlessly.

That's what all the phone manufacturers do, upgrade their phone with faster chips, better camera, battery etc. do you understand that the new phone is much better than the IPhone 4?

Obviously you confused my point... blind brand loyality, thats the problem here.

You automatically think everything anyone says counter to bragging must be an attack.

My point is simple, as I have said in this thread, if you read my posts...

1. The differences are remarkable.

2. I have ordered an iPhone 4s and am very excited.

3. The differences, while great, will not be readily apparent in general use, thus, after so many here working themselves into a frenzy will cause a feeling of disappointment.

4. The end.

That conflicts with your original post.

I mean, outside of Siri, there won't be any real noticeable difference.

Speed of the processor is noticeable.

Speed of the camera is noticeable.

Quality of the camera is noticeable.

Not at all... outside of Siri, the differences will not be readily apparent. Siri however will be a recognizable difference the second you turn on the phone.

Sorry, but I find those speed increases to be readily apparent. It's why I bought the 3GS and why I'll buy the 4S.

I hope so, really do...

Also, I like you man, no foundation to base that on, but I do, and I appreciate that you have interacted in my thread.

Ok fair point. The reason I decided to get it is the the improvements which are apparent from videos and based on the benchmark tests that I have seen today. The IPhone 4 is no snail but the speed improvements seem to be a good improvement not a slight one. Another is the new 3G speeds which will be welcomed. Initially I was skeptical of this myself because I have an IPhone 4. Now after seeing the benchmark tests in particular that for me warrants me getting it.

It will cost me nothing to get the handset as I found out today and I can sell my IPhone 4 for 280-300 so I can pocket some cash and win all round :)

Camera for me

I'm hoping your wrong for me. The new camera caught my eye as I was just about to buy a point n shoot. That coupled with a GF who's got an old iPhone made the upgrade argument valid. She would be more than happy with my 4, but if the camera sux I'll return it. The sample pix were awesome!

Yeah blind loyalty runneth amok here but sometimes even the blind can see a good thing. Cheers.

Speed. Especially camera speed.

The iPhone 4 seems slow to me. I'm hoping for a much faster iPhone 4s

You realize this is a little silly, since none of us have actually HANDLED one yet.

I'm willing to bet there are numerous tweaks that won't be readily apparent until you've actually used the device. Just like the 3GS and iPad 2 had better screens than their predecessor, even though the specs (resolution, etc.) hadn't changed.

I only upgraded because I wanted a white iPhone, lol. It was free for me to upgrade by selling my iPhone 4, so why not...might as well..plus I added some extra cash in my pocket since I was eligible for a 2 year upgrade.

I never use the camera...and I never play games on my phone. The update is pointless to me, but I want my white iPhone though.

Same reason I'm upgrading. I've been seriously envious ever since they came out. It was too beautiful for me to resist. :D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

I can think of a noticeable difference - I will now have unlimited data and a $30 cheaper bill. That right there is enough for me. :)

64 gig. Can sync my entire iTunes library. Significant difference.

This. A thousand times, this. The camera's a big bonus as well. And being one of the ones who lives in an area that historically has been craptastic with regard to AT&T's service (though it's gotten better the last few months), I'm also quite looking forward to the new antenna.
