iblason back cover for new iPad

Glen, it looks like the camera lens doesn't line up properly under the opening in the case. Can you confirm that the iblason doesn't have an obstruction?

I've already got 6 cases for the The New iPad, and I want to buy the iblason but I need to know more about the attachment point of the edge of the case to the aluminum. Can you describe the difference between the Macally and the iblason? The Macally has a gap along all the edges, it's not flush. The Macally sticks up over the glass, feels sharp in the hands. See photo of Macally above. Is the iblason tight to the edge or just as exposed?

Be really clear, really detailed.

Got my Frost case today and I am impressed. This gives you much better protection than the Incipio Feather and the fit is really good. I'll be returning my Macally Smartmate back to Amazon.
 
Anyone know a retailer that ships to Canada. Canadian address is rejected at both Amazon order portal and I-Blason web page (which is still amazon user face)

The one thing that bugs me is Macally is the only new iPad case maker with the sound scoop. Since the other sound scoops out there are huge in comparison (like the soundbender and soundjaw), I don't know of any other options. Half tempted to cut the corner off the Smartmate and use it under a TPU case..lol.

I had emailed them about a week ago asking if they would ship to Canada. They said it should work on Amazon, but I informed them it didn't. They replied to me this morning saying there was an issue and it was fixed. I tested it out and it looks like they will ship to Canada. Too late though, as I already ordered a different one.
 
Damn you all. I ordered one after reading through this entire thread :eek: Looks good so looks like I'll be picking up a black leather smart cover to go along with this.
 
For anybody interested in the I blason, DO NOT order through eBay. I purchased one through eBay and it never shipped. I tried contacting them, but never got a reply. Eventually had to file a claim through eBay to get my refund.

The OP refers to this iBlason case as TPU but I see nothing confirming the use of TPU.

This case looks similar to the Zum. Neither are TPU.
 
I loved my iblason for 6 days... It was the perfect compliment to my black smart cover. Then I noticed a cracked corner... I took it off to inspect it and after putting it back on, I now have another cracked corner... Top right and bottom left. The corners look almost brittle.. The left top corner now has tiny stress cracks.
This is my 1st iPad. I treat it like gold. I have the Targus A7 case that I keep it in when it 's not in use, or traveling with me..and I usually set it on that case when it is in use and I put it down for a minute.
After posting an unfavorable review on amazon, I got a comment to contact iblason for a replacement of my defective product... Which I did right away. I haven't received a reply to that, and I am not sure I will...
The shipping of my product was pretty quick. I had it in less than a week after I placed my order. So I will give them the opportunity to make things right.
Hopefully they come through and I just got a dud.
I do like everything about it. Except the cracks of course...

Hey sluggozmom, i think i read a comment similar to yours on amazon. Apparently this customer was having crack issues/case falling apart. The supplier replied to that review indicating that THAT customer should contact them for another one.
 
2 weeks on the road with mine...taking it out every day, for another case at night and it's still fine...

after watching a friend rip her ipad out of her zum case, I can see why it broke the tabs...there is a method to removing/inserting it right....

I'm sorry to report that I'm having the exact same problems. 2 days after I received and installed the iBlason I noticed cracks on both tabs on the smart cover side. I'm really disappointed, because otherwise I was loving the case so far!
