I think $12 US dollars for 50gb a year is a good deal but I will want a big screen phone with great camera and cheap then it is another story.

It’s for your iCloud account so all phones on the account use the same pool. My husband and I each have between 300-400GB of photos and they do well on iCloud backup. He uses Whatsapp too and presumably it is backed up too.

We have the 2TB iCloud plan that comes with the Apple One subscription. It ended up being cheaper with the bundle than with the individual services we had subscriptions to.

Same, 2TB for 4 people (4 iPhones, 3 iPads, 4 Macs), and we've still got 1.14TB free.


Full Disclosure; My work files [graphic design, commissions, comics, etc] is on Dropbox. Mostly due to ease of sharing. Tho, if there's a way I can save files with clients from my iCloud, I'll probably drop DB.
