for me I can use my work computer and log on and read on a larger screen. Or perhaps type Emails, Calendar Events, Reminders easier on a larger keypad than the iPhone. Also, for some odd reason, my iphone takes longer to view new mail at my parents than using their computer. Their internet connection and WiFi are kinda slow.

I use iCloud all the time while at work as well. My @icloud.com email is my primary personal email address, so if I'm going to write an email longer than a few sentences, I'd much rather do it with a real keyboard and monitor (than on my tiny 3.5" iPhone screen). I'm actually writing a lengthy email to someone right now via iCloud.com.

Am I the only one? Ive always hated the Pages, Keynote, Numbers icons. Especially now they don't fit the style at all of iOS7.

Don't worry, soon they'll be changed to match the horrible iOS 7 icons.

i bet pedos love this new look... "hey little girl wanna see some pretty colors on my phone, iPad, and computer? they look like candy and unicorns"

lipstick and blush.
underneath is where it matters, and that has not been improved since release.

Agreed. Certainly looks nice but iCloud.com is an aweful online experience. slow, laggy, unresponsive. It's just too "big". Email and stuff needs to be light, and responsive. See gmail.com or outlook.com. Hell, even AOLs ALTO gets it right! (ALTO is great web email btw, I urge everyone to check it out!).

Come on Apple, pull your fingers out. Online is where it is all at these days. Remember, you need to skate to where the puck will be, not is! Google have the right idea, everything they have is accessible through google.com (as in photo service, social, calendar, drive, android apps, music, movies, tv shows and more) so Apple..............STEP UP!

I know I like the beta better than the current version. I'm not sure I could come up with a better design/format/layout than the beta, so I can't really complain I guess. Now if I just had a reason to use it, as I don't use Mail, Calendar, or Contacts (other than a few contacts that I have for Siri to associate nicknames to people). The only time I really go into iCloud.com is to more easily manage and update my Reminders.

Stil no Photos?

So Strange you can't get to your photostream from here. It's the only thing that makes sense to me actually.

I don't get iCloud web apps at all. When I need remote access to my email it is because I am in a foreign country in an internet cafe with ie7 and this stuff is not going to work there.

I like the look--and I'm happy that it's coming to OS X. (Because clearly that's inevitable.)

Just take your time, Apple--don't rush it to Macs! Let it mature on iOS a while first.

Look at Mail and immediately flip over to the OSX Mail app. It just feels comfortable and easy to read. I think Apple are right to go for cleaner lines and make everything a little flatter, but this is brutal!

I agree. The new fonts are very hard to read on my 24" monitor at work. I've been defending iOS 7, but I'm a bit shocked at how uninviting and plain hard to read the Mail app in particular is. Just compare the old and new iCloud Mail apps side by side - the readability is night and day.

Shouldn't this be a picture of a person hunched over a keyboard rather than a floating pen on paper?

Scratch that. Shouldn't this be a picture of magically floating severed fingers typing on a keyboard?

Following along the lines of dumping skueomorphism, it seems appropriate.

That's what your iOS device is for. Just hook up to a wifi hotspot, which are everywhere these days. The fact that these foreign internet cafes are running outdated tech is not Apple's problem.

+1 This was the only reason I originally signed into iCloud.com and I still can't touch my Photostream there.

It does feel "big" doesn't it, which in turn makes it feel slow and clunky even if it's not. I guess I don't see why it would need to be anymore compact and minimal, but something just doesn't feel right about it.

The major thing that bothers me about the new iOS look is that it's inconsistent.

I'm not talking iOS vs OS X, but within iOS itself. Take the icons at the home screen as an example. The mail app icon has a different design style compared to the other new icons, with its strong gradient.

Beautiful and consistent. Your turn.

How is it consistent?

iOS6 + OSX 10.8 + iCloud = Same
iOS7 + OSX 10.9 + iCloud Beta = All different

Its amazing when my 80 year old father who knows nothing about computers can get a computer (iMac) and instantly know how to do 90% of what he needs because he had been using an iPhone for a couple of years or mother doing the opposite and instantly recognizing tasks in iOS because it mirrors OSX.

Now you have 3 services (iOS/OSX/iCloud) which are bastards of each other.

To everyone in support of this new design, I've got a little challenge for you.

Take a look at this pop-up from iCloud and just guess 1) how many buttons/clickable things are there and 2) specify what you believe the expected behavior is for each element.

If someone could get 50% correct I would be shocked. For example, your Apple ID field looks like normal text, but it is actually a hyperlink to a separate webpage. What in god's name has happened to Apple's UI team?

Firstly, Apple never used to be this lax with stuff. The fact they haven't got round to getting their 'marketing team' to update the iWork apps is one glaring inconstancy.

Says who. It's possible they are merely waiting until Mavericks and iOS 7 launch to releases new versions of the apps which are redone for those OS and will update the icons at that time

ONe thing though. Why the hell the *********** compose window still opens in new tab or new window? Why not in that nice overlay popup window just like settings?

Useless

Pretty useless without the ability to allow others to view, note and share like the old version. Pointless update.

I don't know about anyone else but I just logged into beta.icloud.com with my credentials and got access.

I never received a beta invite.

Just FYI.

Before iOS 7 was announced a lot of people were like, iOS has to change. It's been the same for so long. It's so behind blah blah blah.

Define 'a lot'.
A loud vocal minority on the internet wanted change.
I don't know an average users (IE non tech) who was really asking for change.
