Hi,

I am having a persistent problem with my iCloud Mail account on my Mac (running macOS Tahoe). The account continually attempts to connect to the server p61‑imap.mail.me.com (port 993) and times out.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
  • Deleted the local Internet Accounts cache (~/Library/Accounts/Accounts3.sqlite) so the node assignment should be refreshed.
  • The above step signed me out of iCloud and clear all the local cache.
  • Verified outgoing mail (SMTP) works — in my logs I see p61‑smtp.mail.me.com connecting properly.
  • Confirmed this is not a local network or firewall issue, since SMTP works but IMAP still fails.
After restart the system generated fresh files but again used the IMAP node p61 - which fails.

Any idea how to resolve this? It has been an issue since about a week. The Mail apps on my other devices are working fine.

macOS Tahoe (version 26.0.1)
