iCloud photos stuck (after 9 pics/first upload)

Just updated to 1TB iCloud and activated iCloud Photos in Photos on my Mac. It's stuck at 9 pics or just 54,7 MB. With a total of 300 GB to upload that doesn't seem so promissing.

Anyone had similar issues?
