Yep, my AppleID and the newly migrated email domain are the same, now.
Excellent, thanks! Am testing with a secondary domain and it is working so far.

Also is DMARC Supported
It's probably an example of some engineer that said we can do a simple forwarding service with custom domains for almost zero cost. Then the marketing guys turned it into something completely different.I made all of the DNS updates and followed the beta setup instructions that had the verification buttons. When I got to the end it said complete. There were no other instructions. I sent an email to the me@mydomain.com that I had configured and it was successfully forwarded and deposited into my iCloud email account myname@icloud.com. Unless there are other instructions for spoofing the send from account I don't see how you can send something from this new email address. I replied to the email that I sent myself and the send from address is my myname@icloud.com address.

How did you solve it? I'm having the same issue on Namecheap.
I'm not seeing any forwarding either. For complete transparency here are the headers from Google to custom iCloud domainI just verified by configuring my e-mail in Outlook 2021 where I can get more information for the e-mail header. My e-mails are being delivered directly, no forwarding happening.
But when writing new e-mails or replying I have no option for using my custom domain. Then I only have @me.com and @icloud.com options available.
This seems to be a limitation with the current BETA. There is no forwarding happening for the incoming e-mails. At least not for me.

I've just discovered Google Domains (domains.google.com) for registering. Super straightforward, and no upsells. I'm not a huge fan of Google, but Network Solutions and Go Daddy were about to drive me crazy with confusing packages and exorbitant costs.Looks like you already have to own the domain which is a bit of a pain as it's a minefield.
They look like they are cheap and easy but at each step you end up paying a bit more: registration, anti spam, database ad-guard etc etc until you realise you are actually paying quite a lot and when you come to renew the prices can turn out to be horrendous because in fact they were all special introductory prices.
I was rather hoping they were going to supply them and make the whole process transparent and easy.
Not so useful then to most private customers.

What are you using to send the email? If you are running iOS 15 beta, you can send from the mail.app using the custom domain also from beta.icoud.com. From my iPhone running iOS 14 I cannot send using the custom domain.
I'm not sure we're on the same page. That doesn't make much sense. Mails being delivered directly via mx records, or being forwarded to your iCloud inbox doesn't make a dime of difference for Apple. It's not like your e-mails are not being stored in iCloud if they are being forwarded from @yourdomain.com --> @icloud.com.
Interesting... for me, it neither shows up in iCloud Beta nor on iOS / iPad OS (14). So the "send as" just doesn't work for some people right now.I don't have the option on beta.icloud.com/mail. But it does show on iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.
can't see DMARC support either when testing for DMARC (I made all the settings according to the Apple instructions and and can receive custom domain emails)There appears to be no support for DMARC at this point.
Would someone who uses Google Domains be kind enough to post a screenshot of their DNS settings?
ah...I guess there's a piece I haven't tested yet. Sending from the beta.icloud.com web email interface does allow me to specify the my@mydomain.com as the sender. I sent something from there and I'm waiting on it to come through...it's delayed so far.I don't have the option on beta.icloud.com/mail. But it does show on iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.
Thanks! It workedI blanked out anything I assume was specific to me but hopefully this helps with Namecheap.

I still have yet to have Facebook even ask me if I want to allow tracking or any other app for that matter.
Answering my own question:Thanks.
The moment you replied, it started working. Receiving, anyway.
Should I be able to send mail from the new address too? Is that just a case of me waiting for things to update as well?
