I was thinking about the vigilante atmosphere, and the ganging up against someone who dares to present a different view...

wow, this kid needs help. that means being locked up in a mental facility and monitored 24/7. the fact that the cat doesn't fight back means that he's doing that all the time. very sad.

what disturbs me even more is that there is another guy filming the whole thing. what is he thinking? i would think that one mentally ill kid would be controlled/reported by the other kid. this seems to be not the case. columbine and the kids doing target practice in the woods comes to mind.
ganging up against the kid or family won't help here. they need a social worker or a psychiatrist. i'm sure somebody will be willing to adopt the cat. maybe the loss of the animal teaches the kid of the value of an animal and what it means to lose it. this is really sad.

The thing about this is the Poor cat cant even fight back. It just shows how ****ing pathetic this kid really is.

I started watching it thinking it would just be some guy shouting at a cat or something, spraying a cat with washing up liquid and throwing it around isn't on at all.
The fact the little scrote doing it was laughing the whole time makes me want to throw him down a well and fill it with caustic soda. In fact I'm sure an internationally funded wood chipper could be erected, "human" rights could be waived under the circumstances and the cat would have a new flavour of food to eat for a while afterwards.
I hope that kid is beaten senseless every day for the rest of his life till it drives him to suicide.

Actually, there have only been like one or two incidents of that. Most have just been saying we he needs help and want to know what was going through his head.
Yes. I need help. IF i was like that kid, I would do those things to him.

this kid has clearly an aggression problem and can't relate to the suffering of others. but that's it. he did not kill the cat, set it on fire or anything like that. as far as i could see he was beating it in a way that the cat didn't get permanently hurt (open hands). he's not a monster. he just needs some help and that's all.
If this continue he may develop into being a monster.
And we don't know how hurt the cat is. He probably didn't break anything but cats are a lot more fragile than humans so he's probably still in pain.
This thread has got long fairly quickly, and to be honest I've skimmed over it a bit.
Just so I'm not getting the wrong end of the stick, would someone be kind enough to let me know exactly who should I be talking about viciously beating up in a silly display of righteousness? I wouldn't want to make an embarrassing faux pas or anything.

I don't deny that what he seems to be doing isn't horrific behaviour and that he needs help, but I don't think internet vigilantism, creating Facebook groups, phoning, emailing and harassing what may or may not be his family is in any way helpful or the way forward with this. The mob mentality is just horrendous in this thread.
