4.7

But it depends on if Apple can trim the bezels on the 5.5. Too tall. My next phone ironically is going to be the Asus Zenfone 2 which features 5.5 inches. I want to try phablet territory before trying to knock it without really experiencing owning one.

4" iPhone 6s

Is anyone else out there still holding out hope that Apple will release a 4" screen size model when they roll out their iPhone 6s line?

Everyone I talk to these days loves the size of the regular iPhone 6 and I absolutely hate it. I bought an iPhone 6 when it came out and ended up returning it within the 14 day return period and switched back to my iPhone 5.

I am 6' 5" with hands that are proportional to my body, which is to say that I don't have small hands and that is not the reason why I hate the larger iPhone. In fact, plenty of the people I have talked to are people with much smaller hands than me and they all seem to love the 4.7" screen size. I just don't get it. What am I missing? Am I crazy? Do I just need to hunker down and acclimate to the larger size?

I don't like how the iPhone 6 fits in my hand. I don't like having to use the screen lowering feature. I don't like how it feels in my pocket. Etc., etc.

4.7" all the way, I swapped an iPhone 5S for the Note 3 and regretted it due to the size (not the OS), recently sold my Note 3 and bought an iPhone 6.

It would be a tough choice for me. I still switch between my 5s and 6 regularly. The 5s is much more comfortable to hold one handed. Although I do like the larger screen size of the 6. At this point, I probably would say if Apple does release a 4" 6s, I probably would go that route.

I would love it if they included a 4" 6s. I looked at upgrading to the 6, but it was just a little too big for me so I upgraded my wife's phone instead. She loves the 6 and I do like the phone, but I rarely watch videos or do anything more than text, call and check sports scores with my phone so it wasn't enough for me to justify losing true one-handed usage. I really hope they go for a three phone lineup because that would give a great range of choices for people who love their big screens and for people like me who don't really need or want one.

I think that both the results of this poll and Apple's quarterly financial results that were just announced both point to the fact that the market simply prefers larger phones.

Look at it this way, even on an Apple enthusiast website like this one, where people are most likely to be nitpicky about things like one-handed usability, 3 out of 4 people still chose 4.7" or larger.

A big fat "no" to 4 inches. That's way too small. 4.7" seems to be the sweet spot for phone size, imo. I had the Plus which was way to big as well. The 6 is perfect.

I love my iPhone 6, but if the iPhone 6s has a 4, 4.7, and 5.5 options, would anyone just get the 4? I might. I hold my wife's iPhone 5s, and it is so much easier to use one handed, and I'm a small guy, so it just works for me. It'd be a debate for me. You?

I'm loving my 6 Plus, so I'd stay with that.

I have a five and I would much rather have a phone the size of the 6. I think you would quickly get used to it and come to prefer it.

Is there still a market for 4-inch phones?

I am all for bigger phones. They are a great experience to use, with the high resolution screens, more space, and in the case of some (namely the 6 plus), a near tablet experience. I tried one in the store, and I thought that it was quite easy to use one-handed. However, it did feel a bit awkward to use sometimes, and I found myself changing my grip loads. The same awkwardness exists on the 6, and even on my 4.2-inch Blackberry Z10 (though that might be nothing to do with the screen size. I never feel awkward on my iPod touch though. It is just so light and so easy to use. The only reason why I would prefer a bigger phone is because the UI on the smaller phones (including the 6) is so limited. The 6 plus offers a lot of iPad like features, and I love the iPad experience.
{INTERESTING ANALOGY OVER}

I'm just one user. But so many people would prefer using small phones. It is evident from the fact that the iPhone 5S is still very popular. That is because it is the only small phone for sale (apart from the 5C) I have also seen threads from other people who want small phones. Does anyone see a return in small phones?

6S for me. The Plus is too big in its current form for my tastes. It would be nice it they either bumped the 5.5inch down to between 5 and 5.2 inches or bumped the 4.7 up to the same.

The 4inch screen is too small. I recently had to use my daughters iphone5 and it felt oddly small now that I am used to the 6.

5.5"

6.1" if that was available but hopefully with a 4000+ mAh battery to go with it.

4.8 to possibly 5.0 for me. If not available, then the 4.7. Never back down to a 4. Bigger is better. I'm a nerdy guy, it has to fit in a belt holster. The 5.5 may be too big for that.
