Right. YOU buy it because it's the best, but everyone else? THEY buy it because they're just loathsome status seekers.

I didn't read the comment like that at all. I read him as implying that the status plays a huge factor into the buying process. Some folks might settle for a lesser phone (maybe they don't need all the iPhone has to offer), but the status factors in as an added push.

The biggest plus, in my eyes, is the huge appstore and accessories cache iOS has. Other than that, you can certainly do everything you want/need with the competition. But that Apple is so pretty.

Apple has no obligation to you, and you have no obligation to Apple. They offer a enw version of their phone. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's that simple.

First off, you don't know Steve Jobs, and have no earthly clue what he would have wanted.

Second, he's dead. Apple must move on, and so should you.

How is providing less RAM than you expected treating their fans like trash? Do you honestly think Tim Cook and Jony Ive sat in a boardroom laughing evilly, thinking up dastardly ways to REALLY stick it to their customers?

Well said. Sorry to break it to you OP, but the world doesn't revolve around you. Get used to it now and it will save you some grief later on.

The iPhone 6 was not a huge update as they were making it seem like.
Very disappointing spec update for such a super hyped device.
They could easily had put 2GB of RAM and for the 6S they could just put 4 core processor. But why only give it 1GB in late 2014? and then also still have 16GB of Memory.
Apple is already super rich and they value their profit more than fans..
Just like how they will charge $350 for a watch with limited features.

This is not the Apple I am proud of...
Steve Jobs would not had let all this pricing insane. Besides I am pretty sure Steve would had demanded 2GB of RAM. He would not had liked Safari reloading so easily after 3 tabs.

My huge rant.
I hope Apple reads this somehow... I am not happy that they are treating their loyal long time fans like trash.

Last time I checked, Apple was a Delaware corporation. In Delaware corporations are legally only allowed to take the concerns of their shareholders into account. Not management, not employees, and certainly not fans.

Also, with the possible exception of the very first iPhone, since when have iPhones been at the cutting edge in terms of specs as compared to other smartphones? They almost never have the most megapixels, memory, screen size, RAM, etc. If you want to have the phone (or really any Apple product) with the best and biggest specs, why are you even an Apple fan in the first place?
