The cheif of surgery at the hospital has a 2004 911 Turbo. I've been in it and it honestly is the coolest car I've ever been in. He let me drive it and it was probably the funnest car to drive.

Every year, ID Magazine puts out a design review right around this time. It has some fascinating consumer products, architecture, graphic work, and concepts. The consumer products in particular often blow me away with their ingenuity. It is a GREAT read, every year.

EDIT: As far as watches go, though, I would kill for a Movado:

I have a Fossil watch that replicates the look...but it's still not the same.

Those premium-priced weirdo picks really are extremely handy when playing fast. It doesn't slip and is easy to learn how to use. Haven't seen one of those white, tho.

Awwww, that brings back really good memories. I can't remember where, but there was somewhere that I used to drink a lot of drinks that came in bottles like that. Maybe it was soda in Chennai. But awww.... I don't think the Grolsch bottles here are like that, unless they changed recently.

How about this one: the Simplehuman butterfly trash can. It fits into small spaces, and the top opens upward when you step on it, so you can actually fit trash in all the way up to the top.

Actually, I first decided to buy my TT (the one pictured above) after seeing it featured in the 1999 ID Magazine design review (it won product of the year). That same issue also had the G4 Cube winning a POTY award.

We just bought a Dualit Toaster Oven today - and I have to say the thing really is quite cool - solid as well. They are quite nice pieces of machinery.

And you also pay for it as well
