Here in New Zealand, Telecom NZ is having so many failures with their new 3G phone system (as well as their landline system) that Vodafone is offering to pay the contract cancellation fees for anyone wanting to swap providers. This is availble for any phone model (Vodafone is the official iPhone provider, but some people have been unofficially using the iPhone with Telecom NZ).
